So far, these have worked to deter woodpeckers from my roofline
I mainly needed these to deter woodpeckers from the soffits and fascia of my roof. These are expensive, especially if you need a lot of them, but so far they have worked to keep them away, and I’m able to mount them vertically or at a slight negative incline with some silicone adhesive, and the gel doesn’t leak or spill out. While several boxes can add up to a lot of money, it is worth it in the long run to protect the roof and stop paying for repairs. These do not seem to deter pigeons. They will land next to them and step around them, but they don’t like to roost there, so if I space them on ledges about 6 inches apart, that tends to keep them away too, but that is a lot of discs to buy.

Bird B Gone disks
I’ve been battling the bird’s under my awning for 6 years now. I installed Bird B Gone disks as recommended. It appears that they are working. It’s still early in the season but they are no longer nesting and or spending the nights under my awning.

Doesn't Work and Damages Your Railings
I'm sorry to say it, but Bird B Gone is a terrible product. The birds were frightened of the glittery and smelly jelly in the cups at first, but after about a week, the birds returned. Two of the adhesive cups even had bird poop in them. I tried to remove the plastic cups from our railing, then the horror of Bird B Gone sunk in. There are two adhesive tabs on the bottom of each repellant cup. The adhesive is so strong that the cups can't be removed easily. Either the adhesive remained on the railing (see pictures) or the force of attempting to remove the cups tore the paint off of the railing (again, see pictures). The whole experience was depressing. Now I have to find a way to remove the Bird B Gone glue and repaint my railing. Please heed my warning. This is a poor product that doesn't work and can damage your painted railings.

Birds have disappeared
I have a covered porch and birds like to nest on top of the porch light. Birds disappeared within an hour after I put these up and have not returned. So far they have stayed in place a month, they smell like Citronella and are very sticky.

birds are still coming around :(
like: it was very easy to place and set up. dislike: birds are coming around right above the product and pooping.

Recommended by wildlife expert
I had a wildlife expert come and take care of a woodpecker issue. While he repaired and did that he also put these on all the ledges around the house. They kept the doves out and no more issues with any flying birds. Just bought these to replace the ones he put up over a year ago.

They Work
We've had birds making nests on top of posts on our porch, and were unable to discourage them. I put up metal spikes designed to keep them from making nests, but they made them between the spikes. A few weeks ago I put one of these on top of each post and they appear to be working in keepings birds away. They seemed expensive but are worth it.

Fagedaboudit! WAY TOO PRICEY, MESSIEST PRODUCT EVER. GET BLOW UP POOL GATORS INSTEAD!
1) Who knows if it's working? Maybe spa gators keep birds away IDK. I couldn't believe it when I saw what this really was. Would not order again. 2) Biggest, gloppiest mess you will ever deal with! Have alcohol and paper towels ready. 3) Removing plastic tops difficult. Plan on broken nails or cut from the knife you resort to using 4) This is highly sticky jelly type stuff with glitter mixed in, setting in 12 3-inch plastic discs, without even perforated covers 5) Only suitable to place on high ledge where kids or pets cannot reach. Disaster if they touch one of these messy discs. Seems like disaster if birds or squirrels get into it!!! Their wings would be a mess 6) Once the rubbery gluey glops you place on bottom to secure these to a surface melt in AZ heat, imagining it running all over the place. 7) Seemed like a greatidea at the time . . . but IMHO this stuff is a horribly messy solution to keeping birds away. It's messier than the bird doo. away.
