Makes nice spirals but not easy to use

I am amazed that amazon has put the price up; it was £60 a few days ago. I bought mine at this price (including postage) from Paderno, Italy, directly. Brilliant, it arrived by DHL in 4 days. The unit is heavy-duty smooth plastic and the steel blades are extremely sharp. The unit is easy to assemble and use, though I found the suction to be a touch poor, mainly because my laminate worktop is not a smooth surface that the manufacturers expect you to use. So, I am using a smooth 24 inch square bathroom tile I got for a fiver for kneading dough. Magic! The first thing I tried was celeriac, never eaten it in my life before, but it was sufficiently hard enough food item to test the efficacy of the spiralizer. I am happy. One thing that some have complained about the handle breaking is because you are not supposed to use it to push the vegetable/fruit; instead, a lever is attached to the base of the handle unit to facilitate moving the product towards the cutting face. I had earlier tried using a mechanical and an electric spiralizer before I decided to get this. The electric spiralizer only allowed me to cut about 2" diameter vegetables/fruits, thereby excluding stuff like cauliflower, cabbage, celeriac, swede....

Surprised of the weight of the "spiralizer", as its mostly plastic, and for the price was expecting something made more cheaply. The plastic the parts feel of high quality and are fairly thick and heavy. Can quickly make noodles out of zucchini, carrots and other vegetables. It takes a little practice to figure out how to fold everything back in, but once folded, it stores neatly in the cupboard. Comes with a cleaning brush, as cleaning the blades is a little scary. Have only used it daily for a few weeks, will update at a later date as to how long it lasts.

ich habe mich für diesen Spiralschneider entschieden..weil er so schön kompakt aufzubewahren ist..er nimmt nicht viel Platz ein..ist sehr stabil verarbeitet..kann man wirklich weiter empfehlen..

Me gustó mucho, es muy práctica por ser plegable y fácil de armar y desarmar, las cuchillas cortan muy bien. Lo que no me gusto es que hay que hacer mucha presión para empujar las verduras y las ventosas no se adhieren muy bien a la superficie por lo que se mueve al usarlo. Pero en general estoy satisfecha

Ya habia tenido antes otro spiralizer y la verdad este me gusto muchisimo más, es mas comodo y compacto y ya que mi cocina no es demasiado grande eso me encanta, por otro lado la calidad del producto es muy buena amo productos como este que me ayudan a preparar las comidas que me gustan o que de pronto se me ocurren.

I have been wanting one of these since my husband and I are on a low carb diet and this creates fresh zucchini noodles instantly and with ease. I was impressed with the quality of the plastic. Very sturdy. Came packaged well. Included a few recipes. I can see using this for other dishes as well.
