Review: Where has this been all my life? I love it! - TrekUltra Tour One Camp Chair - Portable, Lightweight, and Foldable -Premium Grade Mesh - Heavy Duty, Removable Carry Strap and Taller Backing for Comfort- Great for Sporting and Outdoor Events, the Park, and Camping (Blue) Bottom line--I love this chair! Okay, I am over 60 years old and have been around a bit having been in Boy Scouts for over 25 years, raised 5 kids and spent many nights camping and many hours at parks, beaches, and fields in folding chairs. However, somewhere I missed the whole "ultralight camp chair" niche in my years. A friend recommended this TrekUltra chair to me. Wow! Have I ever led a sheltered life... I love this thing! Where has this been all my life? Although this is the only ultralight chair I have ever had, I love it! I am still shocked--this is so lightweight and small. No more lugging around my "gigantic" folding chair (especially in the heat of the summer or on long walks from the car). Although this is a lightweight chair, it is quality made. I only weigh 180 pounds so I cannot attest to its ability to handle up to 300 pounds. But I can tell you that it fits me just fine. The poles, connectors, and the chair fabric are all of the highest quality and strength for this type of product. Even the canvas carry bag is well-constructed. I received this last week and, after using it already, have decided this is now my "go-to" portable chair--my big monster camp chair just got retired from active duty and replaced by the TrekUltra Tour One camp chair. I was so impressed I had to make a video review to show my enthusiasm for this chair. See the attached video. I love this chair and am glad to have found it!!! Review: Size of a Kleenex box, weight of a feather, super strong - Absolutely amazing. The chair is so lite. When I removed it from the bag, it almost goes together on its own, extremely well constructed. I weigh 200 pounds. The chair is wide enough and strong enough to support my weight and dimension. It's surprisingly comfortable. I carry it in my motorcycle saddle bag or in my book back bag. It is perfect for camping, sport events, and picnics. You get what you pay for for sure. This chair is worth every penny. Again, it collapses to the size of a Kleenex box, weighs as much as a feather and is super strong. This chair blows typical camping chairs out of the water. Excellent purchase.

Good product
The chair is sturdy and well built. Every bit as comfortable as those chairs that cost twice as much. I weigh roughly 220lbs and it supported me just fine. Easy set up and break down, lightweight and compact. I clipped mine onto my backpack w a carabiner, hardly knew it was there. My only complaint is that if youโre not on level ground, it feels like youโre going to tip over. So it felt as if I was working too hard to keep it upright. Other than that, great product. I would recommend.

Very tough, small, and light weight.
The chair is very well built. The bag it comes in is a tough bag as well. Chair is comfortable and perfect if you need a chair that is light and small to carry around. I would think it would be very nice for backpacking. I bought two for me and my wife to use at cheer competitions. Being light, small, and easy to carry with the included shoulder straps, these chairs will make this competition year much better. Other folding chairs were too heavy and bulky. These are perfect for our needs.

Best all around chair for camping, etc.
These are, hands down, the best chairs for camping, soccer games...anywhere you need to lug a chair. They fold up smaller than some women's mega purses and are lighter too! After figuring out the setup the first time, it takes just a few seconds to pop it together. We found the balance of the chair perfect, no tipping, etc. Our children fit in them comfortably as well, even though they are sized for adults. We just bought 3 more so they can each have their own to grow with. Took the chairs camping this past weekend, the flat feet that come with most of the colors are fantastic for a solid platform in the sand. I find these to be way more comfortable than regular camp chairs. I also love that they have mesh backs; it keeps use from getting too sticky in the humid weather.

Comfortable, Light, Easy Set-Up... Trifecta!
I must say, I'm very impressed with this chair. I have had traditional chair in bag types in the past but they are so much taller and heavy. We had a camping trip planned for this weekend so I got this sent to me last week to take and test out (the rest of the family had the old chair in bag types). What I love about this was that I didn't have to strap it to my pack like I used to, it just fit right inside and almost weighs nothing. Funny thing is now the rest of the family wants to trade up! ha The assembly was easy and quick and they had a short video on their website that helped. I think all in it was less than a minute to set up. When we got home from camping, I actually watched the Sunday night football game in it. While I wont usually forgo my lazy-boy for this activity, it was comfortable enough for the whole show. Looks like we're getting a couple more!

Great customer service!
Update: Janet from TrekUltra contacted me promptly after I wrote the review below. The company wanted to make my situation right, explaining that there was a manufacturer's defect in a recent batch of chairs. They replaced my chair, and I'm happy to report that so far, despite my 300lb frame, it has yet to break. I've even used it on sand (albeit gingerly) with no problems. It's not the most comfortable thing in the world for a guy my size, but for how small it packages, it's great. I really appreciate how small and light it is - it's very easy for my pregnant wife to bring along, and it easily stows in a car long-term for anytime use. I'd still recommend placing it on a blanket if using it on sand or loose gravel to protect the joints. I've included the previous review below, and plan to yet again update this review should the replacement chair fail. ====================================================================================================== Hi there. 300lb, 6'3" American male here. This chair had me at "hello". As a motorcycle rider, I frequently find myself at my destination without a place to sit. The idea of a heavy-duty chair that fits easily in a backpack, allowing me to take a chair wherever my bike takes me filled me with joy. There are many chairs on Amazon that look strangely similar to this chair, and most of them have a claimed weight capacity of 300lbs. Most of them, in turn, are much cheaper than this product. I bit the bullet and paid the extra $30 or so to buy one with a weight limit of 350lbs, just to be safe. Upon receiving this chair, I was still very excited. When folded, the chair is no larger than a small loaf of bread. It's easy to get in and out of the provided case, and if you possess any muscles at all it's easy to put together, you just need some elbow grease to stretch the fabric seat over the poles. What didn't impress me, however, is the construction of this chair. I paid $70 for this product, but I saw nothing that justified more than $30 at best. The poles are thin aluminum. The fabric looks no better or sturdier than a $10 camping chair from Walmart. And the engineer in me immediately looked suspiciously at the two plastic couplings that hold together all of the poles, and must also bear all of the weight. They immediately struck me as the most obvious point of failure. I set up the chair anyway, and tried it out in my living room. While it flexed quite a bit under my weight, it was fairly comfortable. I packed it up and took it to the beach for its first run. As I set up my beach gear, the two older gentlemen next to me snickered and asked if that tiny chair could hold a big guy like me. I set up the chair on a blanket, sat down, and enjoyed their looks of surprise when the chair held. As the day progressed, and the shade from our umbrella moved, I moved the chair a few more times. Without moving the blanket, I moved the chair onto the sand and sat. One of the plastic joints snapped immediately. My smug contentment snapped as well, as the aforementioned older gentlemen enjoyed a good laugh. I should have known better, that placing the chair on sand would cause strain on the chair. However, a chair that brands itself as a "camping chair" should be able to tolerate sand, gravel, grass, etc. On a bright note, because this chair is so overpriced, with my refund I'm going to buy a much sturdier, full-size camping chair, AND get money back!

Only used it once --- this is probably a useless review!
I'd have probably given this product a five star if they hadn't been pestering me to rate the danged chair from the day BEFORE it arrived. Can you folks give a person a moment to USE the product before rating it, please? I know I hate reading reviews that say, well I haven't used it yet, but it seems great... Along those same lines, I have only used it ONE TIME!! It seems great, but who knows? I think I like it, but I haven't used it for the reason I purchased the chair! The set up is pretty intuitive. It was a little hard to stretch the fabric the very first time I put it together (in the living room, on the floor, as soon as it arrived.) The second time I set it up, it was easier. We used it for star gazing. I can respect that it would and should be a tight stretch. Regular wear and use will certainly cause some stretching naturally and we wouldn't want it to end up being too loose. I do like how easily it folds back up, how compact it is. I love that I can pretty easily attach it to my backpack. Our plan is to take it hiking. We have not actually done that, though, so who knows? Maybe I'll end up loving it, maybe I'll end up hating it. I don't know because I've only used it ONCE!!
