Princeton Tec Switch Rail LED Task Light

Comes with multiple mounting options. Can not think of a need for the additional mounting kits offered by the company. I thought I needed to purchase that too but took a chance and waited and glad i did. The additional mount was not necessary and i saved some money. The light is fantastic. not too dim or bright. Looks amazing. Really dresses up my helmet. Love it so much

Saw some of the other comments about these things breaking immediately after installing or removing, so when i got mine i had about 8 different configs on my helmet i wanted to try. not once with the numerous ons and offs i did did it make me think it would break. just push into the light hard, and twist slowly until it pops. pretty easy, seems well built, and has tons of mounts in the package. bright enough for low light map reading, and super light weight. only con i see is it takes CR2016 batteries and not 2032 batteries. so now i need more button batteries to keep track of. oh well!

im infantry and i needed a new helmet light, i saw this and thought "why not" I saw a review saying it isnt waterproof but electrical tape is ever the reliable friend. I cant give it 5 stars because the above rail mounting hardware isnt thick enough for my issued ballistic helmet and thus it snapped on me while i was trying to mount it. That being said though i just bolted the rails down tight enough to hold it on by friction, the mount survived the brush so far. All in all a good light, wish it had an IR light as well but hey, a flashlight is a flashlight.

Fits on my helmet and works as it should. What else is there to say?

This was the replacement to the first light that broke immediately. As soon as I tried mounting the light to any of the included mounts the tab broke off. I received a replacement and was well aware of the fragile tabs. I was successful in mounting it to the hat clip. It has been OK for about 2 months. Today I needed to change mounts. I was already nervous. I was able to remove it from its current mount without issue. I was very gentle. When I transitioned to the molle mount I was SUPER CAREFUL and was gingerly applying pressure to get the light to lock into place. I even had the mount flipped over and was watching the tabs closely. SNAP! Tab pops off. The tabs on the light are fragile. This is a major product flaw. These should be recalled it is irresponsible at best to continue selling them.

I'm kinda disappointed. The light works fine, it's quite bright and it looks good, but it feels cheap. The plastic parts just feel like it's going to break. The only real problem is that it has to be removed from the mount to change the battery, which is a non standard size. If the manufacturer is reviewing this, a more standardized battery would be better, 2032, like most red dots, and excessable from the front of the light.

I have this attached to my ballistic helmet. Easily attached to the rails on the sides and flexes to my desired focal area. Low red light is nice and discrete. High red light provides plenty of light in dark areas. White light is very bright for its size.

It has a white and red light mode and each mode has a dim and a bright setting. If it's very dark, 10 lumens can be very helpful so it definitely has it's place and time. The flexible neck makes it very practical.
