Titan 15200 Precision Oiler

These oiler pens are great. I have one in each of my range bags and have given a couple to friends. I wish that the tip was a little finer, but this works well enough. I've not been able to find anyting with a finer tip that looks to be as sturdy as this item. After using these for years, I've never had one leak in my bag.

This Titan 15200 Precision Oiler was ordered to replace a couple oilers made of plastic tubing, which cracked with time and use. This has been a good buy so far. I like it.

I purchased 3 of these, 2 as gifts and the last for myself. I'm impressed with the simplicity and sturdiness of the design. It's the size of a very large pen. The barrel is about the same diameter as a single AAA flashlight. Still, it does fit in the pen pockets on the sleeve of a Taclite shirt. For those who haven't used an oiler of this type, there is a tapered brass plug in the tip of the needle. When you push the button, that plug extends outward and oil is able to flow past. Releasing the button immediately stops the oil flow. It's very controllable. I don't think it will leak. I filled the reservoir with CLP from a 12-oz aerosol can. Apparently, it takes a while for the propellant to fully outgas. When I first used it, a bit of CLP shot out everywhere because it was still pressurized! But, if the oiler is capable of holding pressure like that, it's not going to leak all over the place. I recommend using a non-aerosolized oil, or waiting 10 minutes for an aerosolized version to completely outgas before sealing it up. There aren't many negative comments to make. The threads in the cover appear a bit rough, but they function smoothly. There is no protection against inadvertent button presses, so the cap could potentially fill up with oil. Neither issue is very significant in my opinion.

This is very helpful for me to oil my sewing machine. I need to be able to add only one drop of oil. I recommend storing it horizontally. The oil has not leaked out, but the tool has become oily on the outside so I would not call it leak proof. I store it horizontally in a small plastic container so this is not a big problem. I think it’s worthwhile for my use case.

The oiler doesn't leak at all, quite well built. Puts a drop of oil where you need it. No leaks from the tip and sealed with O rings. All in all a quality oiler. Would recommend to anyone who needs a drop of oil in a small space.

It started with a problem, too much lubricating oil coming from the bottle the lubricant originally came in; onto necessary lubrication points on my 9mm handgun. I searched for a lubricant applicator and what I came up with was this 15200 Precision Oiler by Titan Tools! There is zero wrong with this Precision Oiler but there are endless things they got right. Made of all aluminum construction from the plunger to the reservoir to the cap! O Ring's at both ends of the reservoir keeps the lubricant where you want it to stay. In other words it doesn't leak and it puts just the right amount of lubricant where you want it! And the price is just as attractive as the Precision Oiler. I would pay more than $9.99 for this item. I will be buying more as gifts for my best friends who would enjoy and benefit from having a good lube dispenser such as this.

I purchased this to have a more precise way to apply oil to the hinges of my folding knives. As soon as I received this item I immediately opened it and filled it up with 3-in-1 oil and went to work on two of my folding knives. It worked great allowing me to apply less oil to the specific spots it was needed. I put it through the paces with the cap on and off to see if it would leak oil and so far it does not release any oil unless you press the click button on the top (there is a slight amount of residual left in the tube but that is what the bottom cap is for I would assume. The only negative I found is that I periodically had to hold it upright and slightly open the filler cap (top of oiler pen) to allow air it as it has created some sort of vacuum and was not allowing oil out. This is not a big deal as long as the oiler pen does not leak. I was well into the second knives oiling before I had to do this so I would think after each use if you slightly open and then close up the filler cap you would be fine. I recommend this item for anyone looking for a convinent way to apply small amounts of oil to specific small or hard to get to areas without wasting oil or making a mess from over oiling.

This item totally leaked on me, seals failed; very disappointed. Obviously it has worked for many others but I had bought this to use with Hoppe's No. 9 Lubricating Oil which is fairly thick oil. It leaked out of the tip when storing with the tip slightly down in tool drawer; the cap was screwed closed but when I opened the cap, oil spilled out, I then tried storing it the other way and it leaked out re-fill screw cap onto my tool drawer. I work in a shop that can get really hot (110+ degrees) in the summer and this may have to contributed to the leaking (not sure). When trying to actually use it, pressing down on the plunger I was barely getting any oil. I had to wait for a while. I would easily have given someone twice as much as I paid for this thing to not have to clean oil out of my tool chest. Glad I never put it in my pocket. I also tried it with Mobil Vactra Way oil with it and it also failed. It's now somewhere resting at the local garbage dump. PS> I did make sure the refill screw cap was tight

Love this tool. I've loaded mine up with 3in1 oil and I have found uses for it everywhere. Goes in my everyday tool kit and I find myself whipping out this little bad boy most days. Great for those fiddly little jobs where you don't want to go blasting WD40 all over the place. Built like it will last a long time with maybe only the rubber o ring needing replacement down the road. Absolutely recommend!
