THIS IS ONE OF THE TRULY FANTASTIC ITEMS I'VE BOUGHT HERE THAT IS TRULY 100% EVERYTHING AND MORE THAN IT'S ADVERTISED TO BE!! I ORDERED FOR MY NEW 8 WK PUPPY AND HE ADORED IT!!! IT HELPED HIM TO SLEEP IT HAS A VARIETY OF SONGS & NATURE SOUNDS AND THE VOLUME CONTROL IS KEY!!! IT EVEN TAKES A BREAK AFTER A LONGTIME OF NO MOVEMENT BUT SOON AS THERE IS A TWITCH IT STARTS PLAYING AGAIN! SADLY AFTER MY PUP REACHED 16 WKS HE FOUND OUT HOW TO TERRORIZE THE MUSIC BOX SO NOW IT SOUNDS LIKE IT'S UNDERWATER, BUT I WOULD CONSIDER BUYING AGAIN!!!!!!! GREAT JOB!! Brenda

I'm a 60s woman, slightly embarrassed to say I got this for myself, as I was having trouble sleeping, and I figured what the heck, I'll give the baby remedy a try. And it works! I removed the sound maker from the lamb, and use it on the "rain" whitenoise mode next to my pillow, with a small fan creating white noise on the other side. I then put the lamb face up on my chest (I have to lie on my back), and the slight weight of it, plus the white noise, helps me relax and drift off. I'm sleeping twice as well now as I did before, amazing. Lamb is very soft, I assume a baby or toddler would also love it. Be sure to read all the warnings and cautions about using a music box toy around a baby or toddler, if that's who you get it for.

Bought this for my 18 month old who was going through a sleep regression that was causing him to scream bloody murder any time he was awake in his crib. Prior to this you’d put him in the crib and he’d happily roll over and go to sleep. He’s never really had a security item other then his blanket which he does love. Immediately he fell in love with this thing. I set it on the cry detector mode and first night he slept right next to it. Second night he had his arms around it. From the start he wasn’t screaming anymore and when our in his crib would move towards it and go to sleep. Worked wonders for me. Only complaint is I blast the white noise in his room and the highest volume on the lamb isn’t too high. You can still hear it but you have to be close to it.

Our lamby didn't work well. It was not very loud and it would often play for only a couple seconds. I returned the first one we received because I thought it was broken. The replacement lamby we received did the same thing. After we changed the batteries it works great. The volume gets loud. The songs play all the way through. We really like this product now, but at first it caused a lot of frustration because the music would often not work well.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but the complete lack of accountability from both Amazon and the manufacturer forced my hand. The Mommies Melodies Lamb itself is beautifully made (the only reason I gave them one star) — but the music unit arrived dead on arrival. It came with batteries already installed, and those batteries had leaked inside the unit, corroding the entire mechanism. Straight out of the box, it never worked. When I contacted Amazon, they refused to replace the defective item and insisted I pay $8 to return it, only to then issue an $8 refund. In other words, I’m expected to pay to return a product that arrived unusable. I don’t want my money back — I simply want a working music mechanism for the lamb I already like. I reached out to Kids2, the manufacturer, hoping for actual help. They apologized, but told me the item is discontinued and that I should deal with Amazon. Meanwhile, Amazon is still actively selling this product, yet refuses to replace mine. So which is it? Discontinued or still for sale? Neither company seems to know — or care. The customer service from both Amazon and Kids2 has been incredibly disappointing. They keep passing the buck, and no one will take ownership or offer a real solution. At this point, it’s clear that neither Amazon nor the manufacturer stands behind this item. I cannot recommend purchasing this product. If you receive a defective unit, expect zero support and no effort from anyone involved to make it right.

I purchased a Fisher Price Hedgehog the vibrates and plays music as a Christmas gift for my great-granddaughter and it became her favorite bedtime/naptime toy. She would wriggle herself next to it so that her face was touching the soft fur as it soothed her to sleep. I was actually shopping for a second Hedgehog to keep at my house when I found this Lamb and it has now become her new favorite. It is also her parents favorite because whereas the Hedgehog had to be manually reset after 15 minutes, the Lamb can be set to play for 30 minutes, turning itself back on at the sound of the child’s cry. Amazing! Highly recommend.

A friend uses something like this & suggested it for our DOG. We are crate training a puppy and while she is doing great I thought this would be sweet for her to snuggle up to. So far it’s perfect. It has cry mode, 3 melodies, 3 soothing sounds (wind, water, heartbeat). I did have to hide the crib straps as she found it very intriguing to chew on those. But otherwise the poor little lamb has sustained multiple attacks by our Chihuahua puppy.
