This is a bathtub aid EVERY elderly person should have. I'm 71 and have a bad back and knees. I have to admit I was rather skeptical when I purchased this. It was a Prime item so I knew I would have no problem returning it if I was not satisfied so I took a chance. When my husband opened the box I said "hold on to that box because this might go right back". No it won't!!! The very first step up next to my tub told me this was a keeper and would be a permanent fixture in my bathroom. It's amazing how much difference stepping up just 4" makes before you step into your tub. It made the difference between feeling a little uneasy and insecure to feeling totally comfortable getting into my tub. I also purchased a "Medline Bathtub Bar, Locks to Side of Tub" which my husband fastened to the side of the tub next to the step so I could have something to hold onto for balance. The stool is 20" wide and 16" deep which gives you a very roomy platform to stand on for secure balance. It's not like stepping up on a stool at all. The way it's built underneath gives plenty of support. The description says it hold 418 lbs so THAT'S pretty hefty. I know I'm sold. After one step up and into my new tub I told my husband to throw away the box it came it. No returns here. This is a must have for every seniors bathroom. My plumber suggested this bath step as well as the bathtub bar while he was here installing my new tub. He's been doing bathrooms for the elderly for close to 30 years so I trusted him. I came on Amazon while he was here and he suggested the choices to consider. He made wonderful suggestions that will make taking a shower or bath a very safe and secure experience. I will note here that my plumber installed two support bars when he installed the tub for added security and peace of mind. This Bath Step just made the whole bathing experience so much more relaxing and safe.

This is high-quality made and very stable, perfect for the shower. Has a wide solid base that makes me feel very secure that I won't slip in the shower and can reach the showerhead. The company is awesome and great to deal with. They will help you with any issue right away. Highly recommend this.

I purchased this after developing some shoulder weariness after years of chopping and cooking in standard kitchens which are too high for my 5'4" frame. I have been using this for several weeks now with great success - no more shoulder issues, I can chop, stir and see into my pots with out stretching and craning my neck esp when using the back burners. I feel safe bc the platform area is large enough and very sturdy. It is lightweight. When not in use I stand it upright along side my fridge. Perfect economical answer for the petite cook/chef. An added bonus is that it is also more comfortable to stand on for any length of time compared to hard tile floor. It does collect some lint etc on the tacky surface but that is easy to wipe away and well worth it's nonslip feature!

after reading many reviews of this kind of step stool I settled on this one for 2 major reasons : only 4.5 " from floor and stability ... it hits both goals and then some - I use it to get into my adjustable bed after having multiple injuries made it very hard for me to do so. Others that I found were still too high. Very stable with the little gripper pads underneath, it doesn't slide around. I like it so much that I've just ordered 2 more , 1 I will put in my vehicle for use wherever I go and 1 to keep in the garage to hep me get into the car from the house thus saving me from having to get it in and out - I don't know if the price is reasonable because it simply works for my needs so the price didn't matter in the end.

I am using thie stool to facilitate getting into a high bed. It is the perfect height with a non-slip surface suited for this use.

I'm disabled and cannot step into my bathtub because it is slightly too high. This step is perfect, sturdy, and non-slip, but unlike other steps I've seen the pattern on the top does not irritate the feet. It's very comfortable to use. I bought a second one for another area of the house that needed extra height to step into. Highly recommend!
