Would this also fit on a wooden thomas track?

Yes, I believe that the tracks are identical. We have Brio trains and we have Thomas trains and both trains run on the same tracks. By the way, when I first received it, I thought that it was broken because I couldn't make the bell ring by pushing the button with my finger. I found out that there are magnets on all the trains and when they pass by the bell, the pull of the magnet pulls the bell. Very cute!

I think so... as long as it is made of wood it most certainly fit... I don´t know if i have ikea (i think so) but I have several different brands of wooden track and there is no problem using them all and using the little bell...
