The three-volume Good Vibrations series is designed with the hits-hungry fan in mind. Eschewing a strict chronological approach, the best-of sets are arranged according to charting position. Thus the initial collection is laden with the group's trademark tunes, ranging from the California boys' first top 10 charter, 1962's "Surfin' Safari," to their last, 1988's "Kokomo," a stray, post-Brian Wilson success. Beach Boys Hits
This is a compilation of 20 of their favorites, each about 2 minutes long. This album brings back a lot of memories and had me dancing in my chair as I listened to them. The songs do seem short, however, but they do get 20 onto an album.

Life's a Beach
I wasn't yet born when these songs were released, but I fondly remember listening to many of these songs on my parents' vinyl collection when I was just a kid. The Beach Boys' harmonization at Brian Wilson's direction is second to none. Despite the poor stereo remastering on the CD, I'm glad to see most of their classics collected on one CD. I guess crummy remastering is the price we have to pay for modern-age ipod convenience. And despite the shortcomings of the CD, this is a fantastic bit of Americana. Highly recommend this collection.
