According to 'What is in the Box" it should come with 'Starter Cartridge 125 (Starter yield: 700 sheets ISO/IEC Standard)'

Can you plug a computer into it and not use the wireless feature?

Yes if you have a USB port available. It comes with the USB cable. Actually you have to connect by USB to "setup" the wireless function.

No, it would have to have a built in scanner to enable a copy to be made. It is just a printer, but a really good one in my experience. Print quality far exceeds that of the Brother printer I replaced.

Do I need to order an ink cartridge or is one already included to get started?

I got between 800 and 900 pages from the starter cartridge. It was replaced with a non-oem standard cartridge and I've gotten over 1850 pages from it and it's still going strong.
