Accoutrements Affirmation Ball

How could you not love a yellow smiley face that dispenses compliments? I had one of these once upon a time and really enjoyed it -- when I was feeling down, I could just look into the affirmation ball and see "Your breath is so minty" (or something very similar). It was always good for a smile. I was so thrilled to find this on amazon I had to order a couple more. This is a fun little pick-me-up or cheer-up gift for a pal who is going through a rough period. It works just like a magic eight ball. Sometimes you have to jiggle the ball a bit to get the message to lie flat against the window, but I haven't had any issues with the message being unreadable or anything like that. It's not the world's most durable toy, it's not particularly educational, and it won't absorbe you for hours on end, but it is fun for a quick pick-me-up.

I bought this as a birthday present. We didn't get a chance to really examine the ball because as soon as she opened it, ink leaked out. It is hard to see the "messages". Now I'll have to figure out how to do a return through Amazon. I really didn't need the extra work right now. NOTE: I got the replacement ball from Amazon yesterday. It is also leaking. **Do not** order this product. It's a nice idea, but poorly made and leaky. I will return this one too, but I'm asking for a refund instead of replacement.

It was a funny gift idea and no complaints there but when I took it out of the box I got blue ink all over my hands. Unfortunately I can't locate the leak exactly so I just wrapped clear tape around the seal as I assumed that is where the leak is coming from.

I work in mental health where the work can be quite gloomy with the serious matters that are addressed, and I got one of these affirmation balls for my supervisor for her birthday. She really liked it and I also could not resist with it's 20 different positive affirmations and have decided to buy another one for myself! This item is especially fun if you grew up in the 70's and are used to magic eight balls, but this item only gives affirmative compliments. Kids who are enamored and glued to their hand held audio/video devices may not appreciate this item, but adult coworkers at the office or extended adult family members are sure to really enjoy and appreciate the affirmation ball!

This was such a fun ball! Note that the smiley is opposite the messages, so if you're sitting it on your desk, the smiley face will have to look up at the ceiling if you don't balance it with something. I did have a problem with some of the messages though: "That's O.K.," "It can't be all that bad," "At least I love you," and "Who says you're stupid?" come to mind. Affirming?! More like, "not put-downing." It is also a pretty sturdy ball. I actually bought it so that I could take it apart and put my own messages inside, and it took quite a bit of effort!

I ordered this as a gift for a girlfriend. I love the idea of it... Just a fun little gift. Unfortunately, the ball I received was damaged... The bluish inky fluid from inside the ball was leaking out. I'm glad I removed the item from the bubble wrap package before I gave it to my friend... Or I wouldn't have known. I just initiated the return. Bummer.

This little ball seems to make people smile just looking at it. The only downfall is that the little thing on the inside that has the words on it don't always show up, it lands on it's edge, and some words are faded so it's hard to read. But you can still get the jist of what it is trying to say anyway. I still love my smiley face regardless, it is fun to play with.

I ordered this to bring some smiles to people at work and to brighten up our days during tax season. I was so excited when it arrived. I opened the box and it was leaking blue liquid everywhere. I said, oh well, things happen, so I returned it and ordered another one. The same exact thing happened, it arrived leaking. It was also packed with another type of 8 ball that I ordered and that one was not leaking. Maybe this affirmation ball is just really poorly made? I do not recommend anyone buying this unless you have the time and enjoy returning items over and over.
