Love the speed and online community

This board is a sweet idea. I'll just list my favorite features:> Online debugger. This feature is super awesome (would be nice if there was a standard debugger)> USB programming. Eliminates the need for special programming hardware> Speed. At nearly 100MHz this baby screams> Chip features. The Cortex chip provides a huge number of features from ethernet to CAN-BUS communication.

Price is too high at Amazon

Three stars because it is overpriced. The mbed - LPC1768 Development Board (sku: DEV-09564) is available at Sparkfun and most other vendors for $ 59.95.

Great tool for learning

I purchased my mbed about two years ago and it has taken a beating over that time with moving multiple times and not storing it properly but it continues to work perfectly. The online compiler is pretty easy to use and it is very easy to copy compiled code onto the device itself. I'm a software engineer and mostly work with higher level development but this product has enabled me to learn a lot about lower level programming and how to build actual devices. I would easily recommend this to anyone looking to enter/learn more about this domain or just build fun devices.
