It's also an MP3 player. :D
Bought this watch mostly because the combo of strap and watch face type that I really wanted just doesn't exist anymore. I got the Lava Red, though I am looking into getting a better strap. The TPU strap it comes with is nice, but I am just not a fan of the type of fastening it has. As a person who hasn't worn a watch in almost 15 years, I can say, I have truly missed the feeling of looking at my arm for the time. I mean, how did I manage before? Now, I get to see my heart rate, watch's battery life, weather, time, steps and calories. How could I ever go back to a normal boring watch, or no watch at all. Oh, and it tracks sleep, now I have no excuse for not knowing how long (or little) I slept. :D It also tracks stress, but I don't quite get the numbering all too well. I was 61 yesterday. I didn't feel stressed. I especially love being able to connect Bluetooth headphones to this with so little effort. And use my watch as an MP3 player, which is truly wonderful. This was one of the features that got me to buy it. :D I reduced the faces I like to Clear, Power and Gallery, though I prefer Clear. (It just displays all the info I like) You can also access a many number of other features, including a compass, which can come in quite handy. And of course it has a timer and stopwatch as well as an alarm. I've only had it 24hrs and I already love it. So worth every penny. The charging plate that comes with it. I hooked a QI wireless charging adapter to it, and now no more cables. :D Now setting it up and to start using it. Once it's paired to the Huawei Health app, you literally don't need to do anything, except turn on or off the features you like or don't. It's so simple, even a boomer could do it. The only downside is, copying music to the watch. It does this over Bluetooth, I love Bluetooth, but it's not something I would transfer music over or anything for that matter. It takes about 40s to transfer a single MP3 track of average size. Says it can store up to 500 songs, which is great in itself, but I believe it's internal storage is just over 2GB. It shows how much is left when copying music to it. *You do this from your phone, within the Huawei Health app* I think you can get Huawei Health on iTunes and it is in the Google App store too. Would I recommend this smart watch? Absolutely yes. It's wonderful. I would however advise getting a screen protector for the watch face. It does not come with any sort of screen protector when you buy it. If you're like me and worried those tiny bumps and knocks are going to scratch up that beautiful clear screen. Update, 11 months later. I've bumped this on literally everything, placed it face down on tiles and have yet to see a single scratch. Screen protectors are kind of a waste of money, the screen is not flat, the edges are at an angle, so screen protectors do not stay on, they can randomly peel off when you least expect it. After almost a year of having heart rate, steps, weather and sleep tracking on all the time, the battery is now showing some wear, it's about half as good as it was. I've turned off heart rate, I spent way too much time staring at it. I got a nicer strap now, took a few before I found one that suits me. Got a velcro fabric strap back in November. I got to test the waterproof back in August, I was out for a bike ride, got completely soaked, watch was working perfectly, my phone however, was dialling random numbers. Turns out, a smartphone can mistake rain drops for finger taps. Weird right? I'm tempted to buy another just in case this one ever dies, got my money's worth out of it, no regrets. I would still recommend it and have several times.

FIT TO HELP YOUR FITNESS
The GT2E is not over-large nor heavy, so you can fit it on your wrist and forget it is there. I like the way you can customise the watch faces to show what you want to see. Tip: Download the manual from Huawei before your unpack the box because you'll never get going without it. Confusingly you have to install TWO apps on your smart phone to get the GT2E to work. You'll only get a version of the Health App that pairs with the GT2E once you've also downloaded the Huawei App Store - even though you'll probably never use that instead of Google PlayStore. Ideally have your Smartphone with you at all times, and if you already use something like Google Fit the two apps can talk to each other (by bluetooth) and share data. I'm only using my GT2E fairly simply to track walks and Gym exercises, but it soon becomes quite easy to fire up the correct app and get it working. The Outdoor Walk turns on the GPS and it grabs a satellite very quickly. When you finish your exercise it syncs to the Health App on your smartphone in seconds without you doing anything. My Polar Watch had an app on my desktop PC and that was better to view your data than looking at the tiny screen on my smartphone for the GT2E. Maybe there is a PC version of the Health App, but I haven't found it yet, and I am reluctant to install too much Huawei stuff and expose myself to the Chinese hackers. It took nearly a week to become comfortable with the GT2E, but now I like it a lot. It can vibrate your wrist to give you messages, or to alert you to a call or a TXT on your phone and is quite good a showing you your message text. I think you can answer a phone call using the GT2E but you will need Earpods to listen to sound and to act as a microphone; easier to pick up your smartphone. You can also load music onto the GT2E, but again you'll need earpods, so you might as well use your smartphone for that. Battery life is excellent, I think 4-days is easy, but if you don't use GPS exercises it'll probably last longer. I bought the Aimtel Charger Dock and this is great to hang your GT2E on and let it charge - easy to pack when travelling too. So the watch is great, the instructions in the box useless, and Health App needs to be better

GT 2e - Beautiful and easy to use
What can I say about the GT 2e? It's just an amazing watch! It was packaged beautifully. It comes with a magnetic charger that is really easy to use. I just put the watch on top of it and it charges really quickly! The battery life is also very impressive. It can last longer or shorter depending on how often you workout, and the type of clock faces you choose, but on average expect about 10 days. The strap is brilliant quality. Strong material with a metal buckle. The metal surrounding the watch is beautiful, I've knocked it up against walls a few times now and it doesn't even have a scratch. Many different clock faces to choose from, from professional looking watches, to digital, cartoon like faces. This watch tells you EVERYTHING you could want to know including, heart rate, step count, elevation, battery life, minutes exercised, sleep tracking, stress levels and so much more. This watch is the future of technology, giving you vital information about your body 24 hours a day. It is also water resistant up to 50m depth so you don't even need to take it off in the bath or shower. The amount of workouts that this watch has is unbelievable. I can track my exercise through outdoor activities like walking, running or cycling. Indoor activities such as martial arts, gym activities or treadmill. Water sports, extreme sports, and fun activities. The workout that impressed me most was the Triathlon setting. I can now time each activity separately and see my switch over times between each one and all that it takes is one tap of a button. Really impressed. The newest update allowed the watch to automatically detect when you are doing a certain activity and track it for you, just incase you forgot to press start. It sends any workout straight to the mobile app which is super easy to navigate and gives you loads of information on your workouts. It has a find my phone feature, which I've found useful when I've put my phone down somewhere but can't remember where. A flashlight built into the screen and sleep tracking, which works brilliantly. My messages from my phone ping up on my watch. Sadly you can't reply via the watch but its great for seeing at a glance whether it's an important message or just another notification from your group chat ;) You can also control your music from the GT 2e, HOWEVER you do require the wireless ear buds made by Huawei. In conclusion, this watch is the future of technology. It's not just a watch, it's a personal assistant, entertainer and a personal trainer. Would recommend to anybody who enjoys any form of exercise.

Not so "smart", but a decent fitness tracker
I was torn between this and the Mobvoi Ticwatch Pro, and it came down to a call between battery life and "proper" smart features and in the end I plumped for battery life, and so far I think I made the right decision. The smart functionality of this is limited -- you can get notifications from your phone, and store and play music from it, but that's about your lot. No third party apps are available, so if it doesn't do it out of the box then it'll probably never do it. That said, what it *does* do it does very well. First, general monitoring. I've turned on constant heart rate and stress monitoring and they feel pretty accurate, and step counting seems to be fairly close to actual steps taken. Sleep tracking is also reasonably good; sometimes it will mistake "lying in bed watching TV" for being asleep, but beyond that there's a definite correlation between the score it gives me and how rested I feel in the morning. Hasn't done anything to *improve* my sleep, but that's mostly on me! No idea how accurate SpO2 and VOMax are, but the readings seem reasonable so I will assume they're at least in the ballpark and as long as you use them for comparison rather than treat them as absolutes you should be OK. The built in compass and altimeter seem to be pretty useless -- I've tried calibrating them a number of times but they still seem to have a mind of their own -- but they're not something I imagine anyone's going to actually use so can be safely ignored. Exercise tracking is nice; GPS locks on quickly and tracks accurately enough, the summary stats are comprehensive and can even be viewed on the watch without having to faff with the app which is a nice touch. I'm sure it was supposed to autodetect exercise but that never seems to happen so either I misread or need to turn something on in the settings, but manually starting it isn't exactly a chore. I've only used it for outdoor running, walking, and cycling so can't vouch for stuff like swimming or any of the indoor activities, but presumably they're all on a par. Now to style/appearance. I went for the greenish strap and it's super comfortable; soft and pliable but feels sturdy, and I can almost forget I'm wearing the thing -- if I get a bit hot and sweaty then I need to jiggle it around a bit from time to time, but for the most part it's only been off my wrist for charging purposes. I have very slim wrists so I was worried it might look ridiculous, but it's actually not too bad; the shape and thickness means it doesn't protrude too far, and the way the strap is seamlessly connected to the watch body stops it looking too chunky. The selection of watch faces is pretty good -- some decent analogue ones, some novelty ones, and a selection of "functional" faces that display assorted stats -- but there's currently no way of adding "unauthorised" ones without a lot of mucking about. Battery life is excellent: I've had it a couple of weeks, used the GPS for an hour or so two or three times a week, had constant heart rate and stress monitoring turned on, and just given it a 30 minute top-up charge a couple of times and it's doing fine. In summary, if you don't need the additional functionality of WearOS then this is an excellent choice.

Absolutely brilliant
This is a great fitness watch. It's not a great smsrtwstchbad it's lacking s lot of the smart features. But it's not meant to be. Huawei have purely focused on fitness and theyve done one mighty fine job. Just look at the fitness features this watch offers for the price compared to others that are 2bor even 3/4 times more expensive. It absolutely excels monitoring your fitness. And the Huawei app that works in conjunction with your watch is easily one of my favourites. This watch has a huge collection of fitness tracking. Walking running climbing indoor walking the list goes on and on. You get spoc2 monitoring which is brilliant to have. You get sleep tracking, stress monitoring, continuous heart beat monitoring. The screen is awesome , bright and very responsive. Just remember this particular model doesn't allow you to answer calls via Bluetooth. You need the slightly older 2 model for that. Don't be expecting to be adding apps as you can't on here. Or new watch faces. What Huawei supply is what you have to contend with. But in honestly there's tons of them and they're done of the best. I really don't know why anyone would want to pay £100s more for a watch that offers smart features that you probably don't use a great deal. And fitness features that probably aren't as good or are the same as on this watch. Get it you won't be disappointed and you'll sane some cash.

Took a chance on the £58 "used - as new" option, and it's perfect
Fantastic watch at a great price. Took a chance buying it at a reduced "used - as new" price of £58 and it looked brand new once I received it. Great battery and superb features.

Exceptional battery life, Amazing Watch.
Excellent watch. Had bought a Tic watch but returned it within 48 hours, as the battery didn't last even that long and the heart sensor was rubbish. The Huawei GT 2e is amazing. Great style, works brilliantly, feeds into Huawei Health and gives exceptional reporting. Plus, I'm 72 hours in, wearing it, and the battery is still on 98%. The only, and I mean slight, down side is that because of the American issue, with the Chinese spying, and not having use to Google platforms, this can't be used with Google Wear or Google Fit. But as stated, Huawei Health works really quite well.

Fab watch
I've always bought £150+ trackers, fitbit, garmin etc and they have never lasted a year before something went wrong, really annoying! I've had Honor phones for a while, which I love so last year I bought a Band 5 tracker which was a fantastic watch for the price. Fast forward 18 months and I decided to upgrade to this one and couldn't be happier. It does everything I want it to and is accurate. The only thing which is a minor complaint is the auto detect. I don't think that's as sensitive as it could be as it will detect I'm walking 10 or so mins after I started. Having said that though, it's easy to start it manually. All in all a fabulous watch

Great smartwatch
For me not having to charge this watch every night is probably the greatest feature. If I don't use the in-built GPS extensively (eg. going for a run twice a day) the baterry will last nearly 2 weeks on one charge (without any baterry saving mode enabled). The hart rate minitor and sleep tracking seem also very accurate, also integrates with Google Fit. But if you want to be able to install a great deal of external apps, this watch may not be for you (I hardly install any apps on my watches, so not a deal breaker for me)
