Get what you pay for...
As a person who paints tabletop gaming miniatures, I know how hard it can be to paint straight lines, especially when you get old. Highlighting sharp edges is an important part of the process, and it can be time consuming. Almost a year ago I started trying paint pens and markers. It seemed like a way to shorten my process, and a way to paint consistently straight lines. I've tried a lot of different brands of paint pens/markers, and I can tell you that they aren't all created equal. Some don't perform well on the first run, and that is frustrating. Most perform well for the first few uses, but then they either get clogged, or become so inconsistent that they become unusable. One thing that I've learned is that these Sharpie paint pens are, so far, the best ones I've tried. The metallic paint looks great, and they apply consistent lines. They also last longer than any other paint pens/markers that I've tried. The last set that I purchased ran out of paint before failing, and that's not a problem I've had with any of the other paint pens/markers that I've tried. The paint dries quickly, but not so quickly that you can't fix an error. The paint inside mixes with a small amount of shaking, and they push & release tip makes them very easy to use.Long story short, you usually get what you pay for, and with these Sharpie paint pens, I think they've proven to be the best value for my money. If I had to list one thing that I don't like about Sharpie paint pens, it's that they don't make hundreds of different colors.

Love the pop of color and shimmer!
These work so nicely! I love the rose/bronze color especially. These write nicely on card stock, even the kind used on holiday cards (just give it time to dry). They give a nice pop of color when used on Kraft paper too!I store these in the original packaging so that they are lying on their side, horizontally. I haven't had any issue with them drying up or leaking, and I've opened them over 5 months ago.*Update April 21, 2016I used the gold and rose pens to color in a small design on my daughter's dress, and it survived the washing machine! It isn't as shimmery as before, but the color lasted, although a tad faded.

Great colors and easy to use
Really impressed with these! The colors are vibrant and show up nicely, even on different surfaces. The extra-fine tip makes it easy to get clean, detailed lines without bleeding. They flow well and don’t feel streaky. Great for crafts, labeling, or anything where you want a pop of color.

Writes well. Dries out quickly.
The first 25 cards I wrote with one of the pens worked great...super smooth, fine point, and beautiful ink. Then, it starts getting a bit ornery and you have to shake multiple times and play around to get the next 25 cards written. Overall great quality. I just wished they didn't run out or dry out so quickly.

Perfect for tracing on dark glass
I do stained glass and trace my pattern pieces onto the glass, but regular sharpie doesn’t show up on dark glass. These are the type of pens you have to shake up and press down to get the ink flowing, which is not what I wanted because those types tend to leak and drip, but these were a pleasant surprise. No leaking, quick drying, shows up great. I’ll be using these from now on.

Fun to write with!
I got these as I had to get a ergonomic chair for work and the nurse said to write my name using a Gold Sharpie on the metal bar in the back so that if someone takes the chair I know which on was mine.. Man, did this do the job - and now I use it to write on just about everything - I love all the colors. Don't limit yourself to the plain boring black ones anymore!! Even to ship packages. Bring some joy to the mundane things in life.

Disappointing, Dry Up in between Uses
When I received these markers I was excited to use them. But now, a few months down the road, I isit-or-miss. One time I’ll use them and they work good. Then the next time, one or two seems to be dried up. No matter how hard I try to be sure they are closed when I am done using them.Just not the quality I expect from the Sharpie brand. Disappointing.

Not the most convenient
Great markers, only.you have to shake and prime with use before actually using! I do not like the fact that it makes it hard to use for my purpose. I plan to create acrylic tags around crochet hook stand (rotating), that I bought previously. I plan to label around stand for each hook -- to find correct hook I need at a glance. :)

Marcadores base agua
