Actually, a good value
This Tormek sharpening stand for the Tormek sharpening system is well thought out and well built with attention to detail. Prior to owning the stand I had my Tormek sharpening system on a cabinet that was a bit too high, and all of the tool-holding jigs in their boxes on a shelf. I was also getting ready to fabricate or buy a shallow container to catch water which ends up under the machine. This stand has six drawers with three molded inserts to accept jigs (if you don't want to use them they simply lift out) and six rubber liners, one for each of the bottom of the drawers. The cabinet top has a rubber mat with raised sides to catch residual water generated from the sharpening process. The stand is well built from heavy gauge metal which is powder coated inside and out. The leveling feet allow a range of heights and leveling capacity. With the heavy gauge metal and the rubber covered feet there is no movement with the vibration of the sharpening system. There are other features which the Product Description lists. If you value your labor at zero, you could make a stand for less of a capital outlay; however, if you value your time, this is a good product with the built-in features and quality of fabrication. The only feature I would like Tormek to add is a diagram of where they envision the jigs go in the molded inserts.

Great Cabinet
This is a great, albeit, expensive cabinet. I debated building one as I'm a woodworker, and I thought about having a place to store the sharpener under the cabinet too so it is out of the way, but I realized that I would only end up using the top of the cabinet as a shelf and it would accumulate things other than the sharpener. I've found that if my tormek is out and ready to use, I will use it way more often than if I store it away somewhere and have to drag it out anytime I need to sharpen. Although I thought long and hard about building something, I simply couldn't justify the time. Making a cabinet with 6 drawers would cost about $100 in drawer slides, $100 in plywood and at least a weekends worth of shop time . Since my shop time is very limited and my time is expensive, it was definitely worth the cost. I'm fairly OCD and need for things to have a place. I love the custom places for all the attachments. It makes finding things simple. I get that for some people, they can't justify the expense. For me, it is a well made piece of shop furniture that is expensive but worth it for my time and the quality of the unit.

Heavy Duty and Heavy Weight
This is a great stand for the Tormek T-8 sharpening system. It was not clear when I bought it, but it comes with the TNT-00 (Woodturners Kit), HTK-00 (Hand Tool Kit), and T8-00 (Default Kit that comes with the T8) storage trays (not the accessories) as well as the RM533 rubber mat for the top. There is also a nice Tormek hat that came with it. Also has 4 of the holders for the stones. Really well made and ships as one solid piece. Easy assembly needing to just screw in the adjustable feet and add the stone holder on the side if you want them. Expensive, but great for the height and very stable. Like that it does not have wheels so you do not need to worry about it moving. Lots of storage room. Only really need to add the RB-180 rotating base to the top to make this a perfect sharpening station.

Nice Organization Tool
If you’re the type person that spent the big bucks for a Tormek T8, you might as well spend a little more and get the stand that goes with it…at least that’s my excuse. Heavy duty, well made, well thought out. Yep it’s pricey, but it’s super nice.
