These are sturdy, practical cases that easily fit a standard ("Hawley") style upper retainer with room to spare. They are just slightly larger, but otherwise nearly identical to the case provided by the local orthodontist. Shopping for retainer cases on Amazon will make you crazy, so it was a big relief to get a product that had no problems and indeed seemed very well made. They are *not* glamorous but they sure are practical. The latch mechanism lines up perfectly straight, closes securely. There are two air holes in the lid (the slightly thinner half) for ventilation and to allow moisture to escape. Most likely you'd want to leave the case open to really dry completely. The bottom *might* be deep enough to "bathe" a retainer or other device in cleaner, mouthwash, or whatever. Did not try that experiment yet. Also can't comment on longterm use, wearing out or breakage as it has only been a couple of weeks. But these things really look solid, so we're not expecting any bad news. Obviously, since you get two at a time, you have a spare if one should have a problem down the road. On a unit basis these are not the cheapest cases on Amazon, not the biggest, not the smallest, not the most colorful. But we are glad for the purchase as they seem reliable and truly practical for their intended purpose, of temporary storage of a retainer in a safe place. UPDATE after two years -- if you use these a lot, open and close frequently etc. you will wear out the plastic which forms the hinge on the case. This is predictable and frankly pretty impressive, ours are not shot but the signs of plastic fatigue are there and it won't be long. If you use two and alternate between them they will last longer; if you are super lucky you might not even need the retainer all that long. Anyway I would not lower the review score, they do work as planned. Only extra comment is, you will probably want to clean them regularly because the air holes are not enough to really dry out or sanitize the interior. Still recommended.

For 2 this is such a great price! The retainer case size is great and it can fit ANY mouth guard or retainer including my very bulky shock doctor and anything smaller. Including my SD Nano and even my night guard retainers, without anything falling out like the shock doctor case. The case is a great size to hold anything. It is well vented on top, with 2 holes while fully enclosed keeping your guard protected and clean. You can attach a strap (not included) to the holes on the front of the case where you open - if you want to carry it that way. I just keep it in my bag. Sturdy well made material. Case opens and closes with ease. Stays closed when it should. Opens easily when you need it. Can’t say the same for my SD which is awkward especially when opening. I was so happy to find this great product after overpaying for a shock doctor case. I bought the shock doctor case and it was a bust barely usable for most retainers and mouth guards. It was the same price but with only 1 case and several design flaws. For SD there is a huge gap in the front which means smaller mouth guards and retainers can fall out or poke out half way with the large gap (nano). Not to mention other things like loose change and powder can get in. I’ve retired the overpriced shock doctor case for these great cases. Still love my SD mouth guards but for travel, cleanliness and portability I trust these retainer cases.

These are excellent! I love that they came in a two-pack (for both top and bottom night guard/retainer), and the color is great; adds a pop of color on my bathroom counter. They work great and I'm very pleased; would buy again.

Great product, and more affordable than the one from Zima dental that I was thinking of buying. I have the Zima dental pod, and wanted the UV retainer case, but decided to look for a cheaper alternative, and found this. I didn’t expect much from it, but I noticed that my retainer doesn’t have a smell if I use this product. Makes it a lot easier to take my retainer on the go, and not have to worry about the stink when I’m unable to do a thorough wash.

The case is sturdy and easy to use but it keeps turning on with any light touch especially when in my backpack or when I close the lid. I cannot really tell whether it cleaned my retainers or not though (unlike the ultrasonic pod which is quite visible).

My retainers never felt completely clean, and brushing them and/or soaking them seemed to cause damage, over time. This product is fabulous! Easy to use, works great. Highly recommend! In fact, I sent the link to my dentist to let him know to recommend to other patients!

Worked fine for a few weeks. Then the light starter to flicker and get weaker every day. Then a few days later it just entirely stopped working. Doesn't seem to charge.

Excelentes, muy bueno y firme. El material es bastante duro para aguantar a la perfección el uso rudo y para cuidar cualquier aparato bucal. Viene con dos pequeños orificios para ventilar y que no se quede olor o cualquier proliferación de hongos. El material no tiene olor ni nada por el estilo.

Muy buen producto! Regale uno a mi papá que utiliza acetatos y yo también y es de una muy buena calidad el material, es grueso y no se dobla cuando lo transportas en mochila o maleta.

I was really excited for this product, however mine was defective. It did not work, not even once. The device would not turn on despite following all instructions. Even after charging fully, the product would not turn on. Tried to charge and use numerous times to no avail. Disappointed as it was purchased for a trip. Be cautious with this product.
