Is there life out there? Finally, we know. Because they are here. Alien spacecraft with humanlike passengers have come to Earth. They say they come in peace for food and water. The water they find in our reservoirs. The food they find walking about everywhere on two legs. That saga that began with V now culminates in a struggle to save the world in V: The Final Battle. Sci-fi film stalwarts Marc Singer, Robert Englund and Michael Ironside head a large cast in this tense adventure that leaps from the stunning revelation of reptilian beings concealed by human masks to the birth of the first human/alien child to the harrowing countdown to nuclear doomsday. The future begins or ends here. Review: V the final battle - Great television show I grew up loving Review: Space Nazis! - For it's time, this TV miniseries was incredible. It doesn't hold up, but it really shouldn't. I still enjoyed it for the nostalgia.

AFTER 36 YEARS, THEY'RE BACK BETTER THAN EVER!
V: THE FINAL BATTLE delivers on Blu-ray. This 2-disc set features the 3-night miniseries from May, 1, 2, and 3rd, 1984. The video is crisp and clear, and the sound is equally clear. Warner Bros. went above and beyond in this one. They cleaned this one up nicely, and returned it to its original broadcast ratio of 1:33.1 (4 x 3). Parts one and two are on the first Blu-ray disc, and part three is on the second one. The COMING ATTRACTIONS for parts two and three are here on Disc 1 as bonus. However, one disappointment I have over all, is that there is not a making of feature or audio commentary with cast/crew. Over all however, if you love this story as I do, then you will want to add this one to your Blu-ray collection. V; THE COMPLETE MINISERIES is also available (August of 2019) on Blu-ray. Pick them both up today and relive mankind's greatest alien invasion movies. Will the complete 19-episode series be close behind now? Time will tell.

Good show
When you get old and your eyes get bad, and your hearing gets bad it really doesn't matter what format they put something on. I can't tell a Blu-ray from a well made DVD. All I know is I originally watched this on a fuzzy over the air tv station and thought it was wonderful. Still do. I won't compare it to the original miniseries. You can't really. But this movie is not nearly as bad as the people who say it is bad say it is. I'm not sure that made sense, but something like that.

A great series
This was the biggest miniseries on television in 1984. It looks fantastic on Blu Ray. I recommend buying both this one, The Final Battle, and the original V, which is the first part of the TV miniseries. It was my all time favorite TV program as a child. V is a retelling of how NAZIs came to power in Germany. It is like how Animal Farm retells the Communist uprise in the USSR. Earth is unexpectedly visited by a race of attractive aliens who promise peace and prosperity from their hard learned lessons. In exchange, they only require the use of our chemical facilities to manufacture a chemical that they can't manufacture on their own. When news journalist, Mike Donovan, infiltrates the LA mothership he discovers the shocking truth about the alien Visitors. Trivia fact: V does not stand for Visitor. V stands for Victory, which is how it was used in WWII.
