Thrustmaster TX Servo Base (Compatible with XBOX Series X/S, XOne & PC)

What a nice upgrade this is. I really do like what this base does for a more life like racing experience. It comes neatly packed into it's own box and not hard at all to get placed where you need it and setup. With a steering wheel added your ready to go. I enjoy playing Forza 6 and just getting started with a couple of other racing games and the level of realism you get from this base is smooth and adjustable through settings in the game and on the base itself. While playing Forza 6 on Xbox One S I find this base to be a welcome addition to an ongoing buildup of items needed to enjoy the racing game experience. I have it mounted to a home made adjustable mount painted black I built out of wood and it works perfectly for my needs...minus a nice racing simulator cockpit. While I'm currently content using a gaming seat and sitting in front of our 55" HDTV for viewing I would like to actually have a cockpit to use while playing where you want it and can use it without setting up and taking it down. This base is smooth and the ability to adjust settings makes it easy to enjoy what your looking for in force feedback and sensitivity. I'm not an expert by any means but I know when I'm using something that is built well and has a quality look and feel to it. I have it mounted using the included mounting hardware to lock it down onto the mount I'm using. This was an excellent purchase and I'm very glad I bought it. Alright, here's the deal. I ordered this as the centerpiece of an elaborate driving sim setup. The parts are as follows: Thrustmaster VG Racing Wheel Servo Base (This product) Thrustmaster VG T3PA-PRO 3-Pedal Add-On Set (Pedals) Thrustmaster VG TM Leather 28 GT Wheel Add-On (Wheel) Thrustmaster 4060059 Playstation(R)3/Playstation(R)4/Xbox One(TM)/PC TH8A Add-On (Shifter) APIGA AP2 Foldable Racing Simulator Stand plus gearshift mount (What holds it all together) So, putting all these things together I got a few things. Firstly, the headaches. Connecting this stuff to your PC is not plug and play. Each game seems to read each components differently. My main use was Project Cars with the HTC Vive VR headset. Project Cars does have a menu section for wheel controllers, but nothing really fits this setup. I had to manually assign most of the inputs for the game. The big stickler was the shifter, which I connected to the Wheel Servo Base, which made sense because it has a cord that plugs right in. Wrong. The shifter also had a USB connector that ignores the servo base altogether. That was what I wanted, and after fighting that the shifter started registering in the game. Pedals, wheel, stand, everything else was a peach, no problems whatsoever. The base is heavy, but yes it folds up nicely, and yes it functions well with my rolling computer chair. Pairing all of this with the Vive is the great result. An immersive, accurate experience, with faults lying mainly in the software. To speak of the Thrustmaster components only though I have no complaints. Force feedback is as good as the game tells it to be, the pedals are satisfyingly responsive, and the whole arrangement is true to the cockpit view Project Cars offers. As for other games I cannot say, but my experience leaves me no reason to think these parts won't give an amazing experience on other PC or console titles. If you can organize the cords and set it up permanently all the better. My situation demands that I put it all away after each use, and in that regard it works reasonably well. Definitely recommended.

Overall, I really like the TX. I use the Sparco R383 Wheel and T3PA pedals. I have several different racing games, Dirt3, Dirt 4, Dirt Rally 2.0, NASCAR Heat 5, F1 2020, WRC 9 AND Grid Autosport. NASCAR Heat 5 will not let you change button bindings (at least not that I can find) so the gas and clutch are reversed. WRC 9 does the same thing, but you can change the button bindings to rearrange the pedals. The rest of the games work pretty well. There are small differences in the wheel settings from game to game (at least for me), but I think that may be due to the car physics in the programming. I went from a 270deg wheel to to 900 with the TX and it is a huge change, so be prepared. Occasionally I have a wheel centering issue (usually 5 degrees or so) which is beyond a games ability to correct through a calibration. Easy fix (youtube video on it). Unplug USB cable, turn the wheel to complete left lock and plug USB back in. Works 99% of the time and doing it a second time will take care of things. If you are a Rally driver (Get a Sparco R383 add-on wheel) make sure the servo is mounted to a solid desk or a sim rig because you will be sawing on the wheel a great deal . Love the overall feedback from the servo.

Powerful and precise! The base transmits every detail of the track. The force feedback is incredibly realistic. Installation was quick, and my software recognized it immediately. Highly recommend this model for anyone looking for a professional setup.

Very happy to say my PS4 T300RS wheel-rim and pedals are compatible with this servo base to use on Xbox One X! I initially bought a TMX pro at G@mestop because I did not want to spend another $400 dollars on another full wheel system for my newly purchased Xbox One X, but I found the TMX pro force feedback to be very rough (could feel every gear through the wheel) and it had an overall cheap feel. Then it struck me, I could attempt to buy the TX servo base and see if the PS4 wheel-rim and pedals from the T300RS would be compatible. They are, and the force feedback is SOOO much smoother, powerful, and responsive! Essentially feels the same as the T300RS on PS4. I've been playing Forza 7 and Horizon 4 with 100% functionality. If you have the T300RS for the PS4 and want a wheel for Xbox One, take confidence knowing the peripherals are compatible.

This is the first force feedback wheel I had to turn down the force on the wheel it has some power it had about 30% more power than my top of the line Logitech wheel the wheels feel the same well they are both wrapped in leather same size and you can't beat the interchangeable wheels the F1 style is one of the best Ihave seen and takes like a minute to swap wheels but the center cap on the motor side the wheel plugs in to a key with a plug in the center if you look at the picture you can see the plug and around that is the collar that screws into the wheel there is a screw on the collar that keeps it from backing off as you turn the wheel and the pro peddles there must 20 different ways to set them up sorry this is about the force feedback motor theres an ir window on the top I don't know what it's for may be for future upgrades. there was one thing thing that took me a little while to get use to the buttons are the wrong color for the xbox red does what green is set up for etc. its no big deal but 500 bucks you would get the buttons write like I said no big deal.

This thing feels really great and fun to use. It's also smooth and quiet. Even the default 75% of force is a bit too strong though and I'm still a noob so most of the stuff it does is just shocking and exciting for now but not very helpful lol I was better with a controller.

I did a lot of reading on the previous TX wheel and knew what I was getting into. I was hoping with this "newer" standalone model they will fix their issues. Unfortunately not. The wheel looses its center repeatedly while playing Forza Horizon 2 and Forza 6( have to hold the wheel off center for the car to go straight, sometimes over 180 degrees). Need to unplug it/plug it back in over 5 times an hour to fix this issue. Sometimes when I plug it back in, the shifter(TH8A) looses connectivity, and then I have to restart the whole console to get it to connect again. Basically the game is unplayable. Took me over 30 min to do a "road trip" in Horizon 2( normally takes 5-10 min). Which is not even a race so I didn't have to be competitive and just follow a road. Also sometimes the base starts making whirling sounds and becomes completely unresponsive jerking left and right with the car not moving until the whole thing is reset. This happens much more rarely then the other issue but is annoying still. I have seen stories of people going through 3-5 of these wheels before getting a working one. I don't have that much patience. Just requested a replacement from Amazon, which since this item is so back-ordered won't get to me until 3 weeks after I have to return the original. So I'm just gonna be sitting here looking at my Alcantara wheel, TH8A shiftier and Pro Pedals while thy catch dust. If the second one isn't flawless I will have to return the whole lot and since I bought it all separately that will be a major pain in the butt. Thrustmaster support is useless, I reached out by phone and was on hold for over 20 min and hung up, then sent an email which has been unanswered for 4 days already. This is a shame for Amazon because they're awesome and don't deserve to be paying shipping costs of 3-5 replacements for everyone and at the $650 price of the whole set up I cant just brush this off. Firmware was updated to the latest version and everything was properly calibrated as per the Thrustmaster site.

Absolutely love this servo base. Solid, very effective and incredible FFB, so smooth. I stepped up from TMX, if your considering a mid level FFB setup, this is it!!! (If you can afford the XW w/Sparco wheel do it). Fantastic feel for the road and grip, super smooth, ensure your get the T-LCM add on pedals. Incredible setup. I have the TM Open Wheel & Ferrari 599XX Alcantara & Ferrari F1 & Leather GT28. TM open wheel is very versatile and solid. Love the whole system. Thank you Thrustmaster!!! I’ve found a company that does vinyl printing and they make amazing prints that fit all types of bases and rims. T-LCM pedals really set this combination off perfectly😃

Es la primera base que tengo; no me arrepiento de haberla adquirido. Algunos amigos tienen Logitech; quienes ya compararon desempeño y advierten que es superior. Las recomendaciones de los foros es no subir más del 75% al FFB; ya que podría sobrecalentarse la base; acelerar el desgaste de la polea entre otros. En ocasiones está el Kit con TsXw ; la base más nueva de Thrustmaster; si puedes; adquiere ese kit. Lo único que diferencia son los pedales y comprar la base por separada es más caro. El siguiente nivel sería el CSL DD; pero cuesta casi el doble. Hasta ahora muy satisfecho.

Sin este elemento no funciona nada si quieres armar un simulador, así que es necesario. Es sumamente divertido al sumarle los demás complementos necesarios. En ocasiones falla al conectarse con el X Box.
