Everyday essential
This organic Hoji cha has a perfect balance of sweetness and roasted after taste! I also like the simple packaging. Itโs one of my daily essentials.

Good tasting hojicha at decent price
Product is exactly as described. Great tasting hojicha and well worth the purchase. It is not top tier, but it is definitely a decent quality hojicha. Will likely buy again.

The flavors are soft and mild. The quality allows for several brews of the same leaves.

Not my favorite
This hojicha came in a sealed package but the bag is not resealable. There is no brewing instructions. I just brewed it at 175 ยฐ F, the usual temperature I brew hojicha. It has a very mild flavor, weak fragrance and does not have the taste profile I look for in a hojicha I'd prefer. The after taste also not very good. I love hojicha but not this one.

Too deeply roasted for my tastes
I was not expecting this to be so deeply roasted. The tea itself was mild and sweet, but it had too much of a charcoal flavor and left an aftertaste that was not appealing. The packaging leaves a little to be desired. There are no instructions. How long to steep? How hot should the water be? Also, the package is not re-sealable. So the tea needs to be transferred to another container so it won't go stale.
