DOCAZOO Boat Hook Pole Attachment

Work great for my needs. I have ivy wall and need to pull some of them down, w/o using tall ladders. This with long extension pole worked perfectly!! love that I can use it for different projects, pull or to lift up.

Handy item to have around. I bought this item, not so much for hanging Christmas lights, but for use around the yard. Once attached to an extension pole, I’ve already used it to remove a plastic shopping bag that was stuck on a branch high up in our tree. I’ve also used it to knock a hornet’s nest down. It’s useful for pulling drones and Frisbees off of roofs. You’ll find many other uses for it once you buy it. It’s a perfect size, and seems well built and designed. A good price for a useful item!

Although not really intended for it, this boat hook turned out to be exactly what I needed to hang outdoor Xmas lights. I have a 39' extendable pole that I use to hang lights on our giant trees (60'+) in our yard. Previous hooks were plastic and easily broke. This hook is very sturdy and easily screwed onto the pole. The set screw ensured that the the hook did not unscrew during use.

Work great and strong

Worked pretty good for helping to dislodge stuck branches that had already been cut with a pole saw. Even though the packaging says not for tree work.

Have had the metal one for over 5 years. Purchased to install Christmas Lights, and to pull the occasional branch. While have not yet tried it on thick branches, it has gotten the job done. Very durable, able to place it on a standard pole easily. Good size, not too big, not too small. Not overly heavy, so can comfortably grip the pole and not worry about it making the pole top heavy.

I didn't read the accompanying material with this first one I bought 3.5 years ago, so this is what I said then, which is all true and, so far as it went, worth five stars (but there's more): "At the end of my really fine extension pole, which I also bought through Amazon (VITEVER Six-segment 24 ft. long telescopic extension pole, which I also reviewed), I can push, pull, manipulate, and lift boxes in an attic-like storage area most of the time without having to crawl around among them. This hook is just what I need for this purpose." Having another one is really handy, given that I use one inside frequently and increasing can use another outside, so I just bought this one. To compare the two side by side, they are exactly the same. Sadly, the robust appearance and heft of these hooks belie what is written on the packaging: "Maximum 20lbs push/pull force." WHAT? This is advertised as a "boat hook pole attachment? You'd better have a small boat and not much of a load in it, because it would be very easy to exceed 20 pounds of pull (or push) force. "Non-rusting zinc alloy," it says. Well, well, well. . . . Perhaps this device is made of relatively cheap "pot metal," the basic ingredient of which is zinc, a brittle metal. It's not as though anyone will try to pull a gigantic cruise ship to the dock with one of these, but a 20-pound limit is hugely puny. I'll know to be exceedingly careful with it from now on, knowing as I do its inherent fragility. Good think I either don't have any storage boxes weighing over 20 pounds, or I do and just have been lucky so far.

The hook is of good quality and works well for hanging lights and other lightweight jobs. I have not used it too pull down broken branches that are hung up in trees, which is why I purchased it. I would have preferred it if it was solid steel and not cast.

Exactly as described. Really useful - has multiple uses. Very pleased with purchase.
