First and foremost I like this stand, it's as depicted with beautiful wood and once properly assembled handsome. I must be mechanically challenged as I made every mistake possible assembling. The countersunk holes go to the outside (duh), the ends have a left and right and don't rely on just snugging up the screws to align things. And once you've got it together the backside will not be a flush fit. I won't attempt to step by step (I thinking it should have come with instructions, even a modicom might have helped but no) but offer this brief suggestion. Don't cinch the screws down as you go, leave them a little loose as you'll have to tweak everything to get it symetrical. especially the ends to the base. I'm guessing the manufacturing people likely appreciate this and get an occasional snicker from it.

Well made, quality wood, not particle, very well made and finished, just a bit pricey but i have to say i will be buying another one.

Bought for dad so he could display a civil war sword he purchased. So disappointing. Screws mismatched and seller unresponsive when contacted. Wish I had returned.

Sadly this had to be done quickly so I was not able to return it because my soldier leaves tomorrow. But there was a few scratches and blemishes on this that I would have normally waited for a new one for. I should be able to cover them or re-stain it, hopefully it dries in time.

Product is great and function well. It came with a very noticeable chip, which is disappointing
