Evan-Moor Daily Math Practice Book for grade 1 helps to keep skills sharp with focused practice presented in standardized testing formats. Book of 112 pages comes with 36-week progressive program along with scope, sequence charts and answer keys. Review: Good daily practice - I think daily practice books in math are essential and this is a good one to use. Clear directions for younger and does a spiral review of skills. Review: Great after-school Math review book - I use several enrichment books with my first grader as after-school review, and would highly recommend the Daily Math Practice Grade 1 book. There are five daily problems spread over 36 weeks and covers computation, word problems, patterns, understanding numbers, geometry, graphing, and measurement. My daughter enjoys working on the problems in this book as there's variety in the way the problems are structured. In addition, the problems are repeated in different formats so that a child can be trained to solve similar problems without too much thought - after a while, my daughter was doing most of the problems mentally as she had memorized a lot of the common number facts. I also appreciate the thinking questions in this book. For example: "Penny gives her dog a bone every morning and every night. How many bones does she need in one week?" - here, the child will be expected to figure out that in one day, the dog ate two bones; and then in one week there are seven days, so it will be two times seven equals fourteen. This is a great way to integrate the concept of multiplication, and there are other problems which introduce children to fractions. We can't wait to move on to the next level!

Keeps Things Fresh Through Summer
We got the daily math, writing, and reading books to keep my 6yr/o's mind fresh over the summer. She loves doing the work because it is so short and she gets to show off her skills. A single day in the book is like 2-4 questions and they are presented in fun ways that are not overwhelming and don't take more than a few minutes to complete. I went with the 1st grade level because that is what she is heading into in the fall, but I feel like these are almost too easy for her. Maybe they'll get tougher as the weeks/pages progress, but it's not a big deal if they don't because my intent is just to keep these things in her mind so she doesn't fall back.

Great book for a Kindergarten
I really like this book even though I am sure that covers 1st Grade Common Core in my opinion is more for a Kindergarten, at least for the first 10 weeks that I covered. I like that increase difficulty little by little and also that gives the opportunity of start setting some expectations in math such showing your work in word problems. Also, having a Montessori child I like that the book expose my kid to traditional work that it will be in the standardized tests.

Great review of skills
I like the spiral review concept of this workbook. There is not a scope and sequence, persay. But, it does hit many skills! I am using this to kickstart my homeschooled daughterโs Kindergarten year!

Great workbook
This is a great work book, My kids love it because its has only a few problems each day. I love it because the instructions are great and the workbook is enough to help them with their education and not be a daunting task. I home school my 4 children and this is great brand. I use it for each subject.

Not worth it for that price
Very Less (4 or max 5 ) questions per day to practice and that too very simple ones for grade 1.
