Surprisingly good audio and ease of use! Haven't had a chance to do a full battery rundown.
Initial Review Date: 2023-OCT-16 I was looking for a 2-mic setup and I saw these while browsing. I'd never heard of the brand before. In the past, I'd typically stick with more recognized brands like Sennheiser and Samson. But I needed something in a pinch and based on the reviews and price, I thought I'd give them a shot. My testing thus far has been limited to about 20 minutes of tinkering with them connected to my Canon EOS R3. More testing (and a review update will follow later.) Thus far, I'm VERY IMPRESSED with the quality of these units. They came showing a full charge and they were already synced with the receiver. The built-in mic and the corded lav mic both perform equally well, which surprised me. I didn't notice any significant drop off in the vocal frequency range. It wasn't too bright nor was it too deep or muffled. It was just about exactly as I expected! I'm going to try using it as mic for video recording and narrations directly into my computer. From there, I'll be able to compare them objectively to other mic setups. For all intents and purposes, I believe these are going to be a successful replacement for my old (first gen) Sennheiser eW100 units and Samtron 32M units. General notes / observations: 1) Pay attention to what cord you are using to go from the receiver unit to your input. I didn't pay attention and thought at first I had a problem. Well, I mean, I did have a problem. I was using the TRS cable intended for a phone. This cable has a tag on it, a gray-colored connecter, and a slightly different plug. So there's 3(!) things that distinguish it from the cable required for cameras. This is also noted in their product pictures supplied in the Amazon listing. 2) Stereo and mono work as advertised. When used in Stereo, the sending unit marked "A" is the left channel. It's not too hard to figure that "B" is the right channel. 3) They are very lightweight! But they'll probably still tug a little on lightweight fabrics. 4) The sending units have something notably magnetic in them. Put them back to back and you'll see them push away from each other. This probably isn't a problem in nearly 99.9% of situations. But it's just an observation. 5) These are pretty much plug & play right out of the box. Little-to-no learning curve required!

First impressions are very favorable
I've had a YouTube channel for close to four years, and I've been learning about editing and filming as I go. I started a basic mic, upgraded to a mic mounted on top of the camera, and finally settled on a wired lavalier mic. That wired mic has been problematic for a long time, with the wire causing noise issues as I work on projects, and the mic picking up all kinds of clothing noises, popping, etc. It's been good enough, but definitely imperfect and extends my editing time as I try to minimize the sound issues in post. But I'm frugal and didn't want to upgrade until it was necessary. My son gave me a different wireless mic as a gift, and the sound quality was so terrible I couldn't use it (even though the thought was lovely). Finally, my wired lav mic broke a couple days ago, and I was forced to upgrade. All I can say is WOW! Why did I wait so long?? This set up has great reviews, and it was on a Prime deal, so for 45% off it was the perfect time to try a higher-quality wireless setup. The sound quality is light years beyond what I've had in the past. The transmitters and receiver worked straight out of the package, no set up required. Of course, there are things you can tweak, but for a plug-and-play system, I'm super impressed. I didn't experience any clothing rustling sounds as I moved. No popping or hot sounds. I was able to go to the other room, with a wall between me and the receiver, with no degradation of sound. I found the best sound quality to come from the integrated transmitter microphone. The wind screen will be great outside, but I do most of my filming in my sewing studio. The lavalier mic wasn't as good as the built-in mic, in my opinion, so I think I may tinker with the settings if I need or want to use that. The audio cable does connect to my computer for voiceovers, but again I would need to tinker with the settings to make that a viable option. (I already have a large boom mic that is better for voiceovers, so I don't see myself using this system that way.) For my purposes and for the price, this is a really fantastic set up, and I would recommend it for amateur video makers like myself. For the record, I am using this with a Canon EOS M50 camera and evaluating the sound on my Macbook Pro using iMovie for editing clips. No fancy sound equipment or high-tech audio engineering stuff here. Just me doing my thing.

Way better than the Rode Wireless Go. A game changing in wireless microphone system.
This Comica BoomX-D2 is an ultra-compact digital wireless microphone system which is unique in its clip’n’go versatility, incredibly compact form-factor, and unmatched price accessibility compared to other model such as the Rode Go. It’s the perfect wireless mic solution for content creators in all disciplines: filmmakers, on-camera presenters, newsgatherers, vloggers and more ! I am comparing this microphone system to the Go since before to buy it, I was considering buying the Rode Go instead. However, after some research about the Rode, I found out that it has a major defect; When you remove the external microphone on the Rode transmitter, the internal microphone does not work any more ! Plus, with this set I was getting two transmitter (the microphone), a bunch of TRS/TRRS adapter AND two external Lavalier style microphone. When with the Rode they only give you ONE transmitter & receiver, and that's it. The rest was an extra cost separate accessories. So I bought the BoomX-D2 from Comica instead, since it was looking promising. And wow, this system deliver as promised, and yes as expected with the Comica system, I had NO issue what so ever when switching from the external microphone to the internal one, and vice versa. Ultra-compact and ultra light (TX is 30g and RX only 29g), the Wireless transmitter acts as either a quick and easy clip-on wireless microphone, thanks to a high-quality built-in omni-directional condenser capsule, or as one of the world's smallest belt-pack transmitter for a Lavalier microphone via the 3.5mm TRS input. The BoomX quick clip-on capabilities make it perfect for run-and-gun journalists and vloggers in the field: never miss the action as it happens – no cables and great sound. The receiver is just as compact, which makes your rig that much easier to carry and facilitates mounting on a range of camera gimbals and stabilizers. It clips easily onto your camera strap or an item of clothing. The supplied 3.5mm TRS output cable plugs into your camera’s audio input or, (with the relevant available adapters - NOT included with this set), into your recorder, GoPro, iPhone etc. One of the best functionality with this system, is the fact that, because you have two microphone transmitter for one receiver, you can record your audio input in STEREO as well ! The sound quality from the integrated microphone is also great, and even better than when using the external Lavalier mike in my opinion. As for the battery life, I charged those only once and used them all day, and yet I didn't have to recharge neither of those. Well, I can probably talk all day long about this microphone system, but let do a "good and bad" section for those reading my review who want to go straight to the point. GOOD: - Operates as a clip-on microphone or belt-pack transmitter for a lavalier/headset microphone - Built-in omni-directional condenser microphone delivers broadcast-quality sound - Delivers crystal clear audio under any conditions, even in locations with dense Wi-Fi and Bluetooth activity like shopping malls, conventions, hotels etc - Tested at 70m range (line-of-sight) without an y loss of signal, but optimized for shorter-range operation in congested radio-frequency environments - TX and RX have built-in rechargeable batteries, charged via USB-C port - Rated up to 5 hours on a full charge, but yet never run out of battery during testing - Auto battery-saver mode - Super-lightweight and ultra-compact: TX is 30g and RX only 29g - The transmitter and receiver pair right away, as soon as they are both power up - Signal not interrupted by turning your back to the camera/receiver - LCD screen are bright and easy to see, even under sun light NOT SO GOOD: - The auto battery-saver mode dim the LCD screen automatically after a few second, which can be annoying when trying to read the screen info, and there are no setting to disable this feature. However, the screen will turn back to full brightness when any button is pressed again.

A Reliable and High-Quality Wireless Microphone System for Content Creators**
I recently purchased the Comica Wireless Lavalier Microphone, BoomX-D2 2.4G, and it has exceeded my expectations in several ways. As a content creator, I needed a reliable and high-quality wireless microphone system, and the BoomX-D2 delivers on all fronts. **Pros:** 1. **Audio Quality:** The audio captured by the BoomX-D2 is clear and professional. The built-in DSP technology helps in reducing background noise, ensuring that the recorded audio is crisp and clear. 2. **Range and Connectivity:** The 2.4G wireless transmission provides a stable and interference-free connection. I’ve tested it up to the advertised range of 50 meters, and it works flawlessly without any dropouts. 3. **Ease of Use:** Setting up the BoomX-D2 is straightforward. The transmitter and receiver pair automatically, and the controls are intuitive. It’s a plug-and-play solution that doesn’t require a steep learning curve. 4. **Battery Life:** The battery life is impressive. With a single charge, I can use the system for several hours, which is more than enough for my recording sessions. The USB-C charging port also means it charges quickly and efficiently. 5. **Versatility:** The package includes two transmitters and one receiver, making it ideal for interviews or two-person vlogs. The transmitters are compact and lightweight, which makes them easy to clip on without being obtrusive. 6. **Build Quality:** The build quality is solid. Both the transmitters and the receiver feel durable and well-constructed, giving me confidence that they will last a long time. Overall, the Comica Wireless Lavalier Microphone, BoomX-D2 2.4G, is an excellent investment for anyone serious about audio quality in their video productions. It offers professional-level performance in a user-friendly package. I highly recommend it to vloggers, interviewers, and content creators who need a reliable wireless microphone system.

Amazing, versatile tool that I would recommend to anyone who uses microphones.
I got these on a Black Friday sale, but I would say these are defiantly worth the price even not on sale! I have used these microphones for several months without any issues whatsoever. My favorite features are the small size and the screen on each transmitter/receiver. It makes it very easy to check the microphone's connection without having to wear headphones and monitor your audio (although you are still taking a risk). The transmitters have built-in noise cancellation and mute functionally, which is particularly helpful for my application of making quick videos out in the field. I need to publish my videos as fast as possible, and the noise cancellation on these works well enough that I can rely on it and not have to use my editing software. I have used these up to a range of 75 feet indoors (the range is reduced outdoors in open fields because there are no walls for the signal to bounce off of. The build quality is incredibly sturdy; I have thrown these in my bag for weeks and weeks out of the included case (which is very convenient but takes up more space than it should), but the microphones have held up well. They sound great, you can plug your own lav mic in if you want a better quality (although no normal person would notice the difference), and the included wind screens and clips work amazingly!

Well thought out & well designed product. I'm impressed.
I chose this COMICA BoomX-D2 Wireless because it has a shorter reach (100 meters i.e. 300 feet) and therefore lower broadcast power than the (Rode Wireless Go II, Hollyland Lark Max Wireless, etc.). So it has LESS RF Gigahertz radiating into my neck. In my application, the transmitter & receiver will be close (e.g. no more than 15 or 20 feet apart) and there will be a direct unobstructed line of sight between the transmitter & the receiver. Furthermore, I will not have my back to the receiver (in this case my body would be the obstruction - not that that would even matter in such close distances). Anyway I love the design & packaging. It works right out of the box and it is real simple to use. It does NOT require any smartphone app to set it up or to control it. It Includes 2x Transmitters w/ built in Microphones, 2x wired Lapel Microphones (when plugged-in bypasses the internal mic), a Charging cord USB-A to triple USB-C (charge the all 3 devices at the same time with one cord), 2x "Dead Cat" microphone covers, 2x cables to go from the receiver to a DSLR (TRS) or from the receiver to a smartphone (TRRS), nice zippper case. Note this system does NOT have built in audio recorders in either ot the transmitters or the receiver. So If the audio drops out - then tough luck (there's NO recovering it). Comica was not a strange name for me, I already have the Large Diaphram Consenser Studio Mic (STM-01) and I LOVE it (I do have some fairly complex electronics in my signal chain - but I would have that for ANY microphone that I use). I've been using it for over a year & it produces GREAT voice over audio. I bought the Comica BoomX-D2 wireless system (and the Comica STM-01) w/ my own money & I was not coerced or bribed to write this review.

Terrible
From a professional point of view I cannot emphasise how bad these microphones are... I recently did a webinar where I had 2 sets of these set up with 4 speakers... So 4 speakers (4 microphones) and 2 receivers running straight into camera on 2 seperate channels. Firstly, the signal on both receivers cut out a number of times, even though the speakers were about 15 feet away from the receivers, in line of sight. Secondly, there was terrible feedback through the microphones, even though the set up was in an open area with absolutely no wifi signal in that area. Eventually I made everyone turn off their cellphones to try and alleviate the problem. This did not help at all. I thought perhaps the feedback was coming from having 2 sets of receivers running next to each other at the same time but even when we went to only 1 speaker running on 1 microphone and 1 receiver there was still feedback. These mics are cheap for a reason, they do not work and you cannot rely on them to give you a clean audio signal. I have used them once and will never use them again. Absolutely terrible! I have gone to the lengths of not selling these on but simply dumping them in the trash. Biggest waste of $500 I have ever spent.
