NEW PRODUCT! - Love Finish Quantum Powerball - Better Than Ever
For as long as I can remember, I've had access to an automatic dishwasher for decades. I remember when I was a child, my parents had a pretty decent Whirlpool back in the day (about 20 years ago). There are two things that I remember about that Whirlpool. 1) It made washing dishes easier (I hated washing dishes by hand) and 2) we used a box of powdered Cascade for washing dishes (the kind in that metallic green box).As I grew older and moved away from home, I experienced probably about almost a dozen or so different automatic dishwashers of varying brands & ages in numerous different apartments/homes that either I lived in or my friends/family lived in. Of all those experiences, I can definitely say that they all washed dishes well. However I noticed that on occasion, sometimes glassware would have this white powdery residue on them and also, those plastic tupperware containers would sometimes get the same white residue that was sometimes even "caked" into the plastic with no way to remove it.Putting 2 & 2 together, I realized that this residue had to be the dishwasher detergent, as there is no way that just the dishwasher alone could do something like this. Having experienced various brands of detergents (liquid kind, generic, brand name, tablets, pure powder, powder "packets"), I've found that nearly all of them have always put this residue on my glasses/tupperware to some degree.... except one brand. Electrosol (renamed to the name we know as Finish).I've mainly had experience with the Finish Powerball Tablets, Fresh Scent, 60-Count (which I use regularly) and the Finish Quantum Powerballs. I prefer the Finish Quantum line, but those carry a premium price (28 cents a piece at my grocer) and I only get those when they are on sale. Luckily I had a coupon from Amazon and it actually made the price come down to 20 cents a piece, which is the same price as the regular Powerball line. So I decided to pull the trigger and give these a shot.Specific to the Quantum line, I noticed that the one I'm reviewing is a **new product** from Finish. The reason I believe so is because my packaging is a bit different than what you see on Amazon. The one I have has a the wording "new formula" along with the "NEW" stamp next to it. I notice the new formula has baking soda in it and even Finish's website does not list this baking soda formula. Google however, shows this product is available in Canada and Australia... so maybe they are just now releasing the baking soda formula to the United States. To further confirm my assumptions, every single review listed for this product is from someone who is a member of Amazon Vine (which gets new products prior to being available to the public). Since the reviews were so good, I decided to get some myself.I'm not sure if you knew, but I was told by my mother and my wife and I confirmed via Google that you are supposed to rinse your dishwasher with baking soda from time to time to clean the grime that builds up in it and to "freshen it up". If you don't believe me, Google the search terms "baking soda dishwasher". Regardless, it seems to me that this brand of Finish Quantum w/ Baking Soda does the same thing to getting your dishes/flatware/etc extra clean and freshens your dishwasher up. Plus I love the fact that there is no silly foil wrapper to mess with. You just drop the "pack" in and the packaging dissolves in water. It seems to me that this product is as good, if not better, than the current line of Quantum Finish Powerball and I am very pleased with the results in not only my dishes/silverware/pots/pans but my dishwasher as well. Both the original Powerball and this Quantum Powerball products work wonders with getting my dishes clean but more importantly, these are the only two products that I've used that DON'T leave that nasty white residue on everything.

Works better than anything we have tried - kept us from getting a new dishwasher
We moved into a new house and had been trying many different dishwashing detergents trying to find one that would get the dished clean and not leave a residue. The dishwasher was doing a poor enough job that we basically had to wash the dishes before we put them inside, which makes it pretty useless. We were contemplating a new dishwasher as the one in our other house did a great job. After reading good reviews about the Finish Quantum product i thought it was worth a try. We are now on our third box of these tabs and they are doing a great job. The first few washes we didn't notice the big difference that we saw after about half the box was used. Now our dishes come out very clean and with a good shine. Plus the glasses are perfectly clear with no haze, they look great.Great product that i would recommend to anyone.

WASTE OF MONEY - DON’T BUY
I don’t write many reviews but I’m hoping this keeps even one person from wasting their money. Do not buy from this seller! I thought maybe the discolored packs would still be effective even though they weren’t as pretty, but I was completely wrong. I’ve had to use 4 or 5 at a time just to get the dishes somewhat clean and even then, there are usually a few that still have food residue or grease on them. Back to hand washing while these pacs are in the house. Never again.

Great Detergent!
I changed to Finish Quantum Dishwasher Detergent With Baking Soda after reading reviews here on Amazon. I was having problems with spots on my dishes. I don't have that problem since using Finish Quantum. The dishes are clear and clean. I would recommend them. I think they are worth the few extra cents per load to have my dishes come out clean. Also, the other detergents were leaving small clumps of residue in my machine. Finish Quantum doesn't do that. It is not only the clean dishes that I am concerned about it is the life of my dishwasher. The detergent I use in my dishwasher is directly related to the maintenance of my machine. Definitely worth the change I made.

Works great for a while, then begins the white residue...
I have been using Quantum since my Bosch repair man recommended it for getting the best results with my Bosch dishwasher. At first, I was amazed! It was like having a brand new dishwasher! I was telling friends about the product because it was so good. Then, after a while, I noticed some of my glass items had a white residue (like soap) on them, and I had to hand wash them to remove it. It then started happening on plastic items too. This is extremely frustrating, especially since it was working so well in the beginning.

Nothing cleans better than Quantum!
I grew up in a family that used another dishwashing detergent religiously that has been around for years, but after dropping nearly a grand on a new state-of-the-art dishwasher, I was gutted when my dishes came out looking dirty. That is when I decided to give Quantum Finish a try, and boy am I glad I did! I will never ever ever use another detergent for my dishes so long as I can buy Quantum Finish. My dishes always come out sparkling clean, and I no longer get those nasty dried-on yucky food residues I used to get using another leading brand.

Fresh & Clean!
These are by far the BEST finish tablets you can buy; the baking soda does the trick to ensure your dishes are spic-and-span. This item is not sold in any brick-and-morter stores (at least not in Southern California) and price can't be beat with Subscribe & Save. I do not need to add additional boosters to these tablets, as it is something I had to do with other tablets from both finish and competitors. Thanks for making a great product - it's great to know your dishes are clean and without residue!
