Best purchase I made last year.
This is amazing. I have always hated the Allen wrench thing and couldn’t use my power tools with it. With this I can and it is great. The quality is good and it feels like it can withstand heavy usage. It’s made well. So far I have never had a problem with finding the right size. It’s written on the side and easy to spot. The carrying case is good but it’s a bit hard to remove them from it. Price is right as well and good value. Overall satisfied with it and would recommend it.

I believe they're going to be decent hex bits, but there are a things to be aware of.
My search for hex bits started due to the following reasons: • Most of my Allen wrenches are cheap and strip easily • Most of my Allen wrenches are nowhere to be found when I need them • I quite often wish I could use them in my power drill Why did I purchase these? • The price was right • I researched the listed material (Chromium Molybdenum) and found it to be a good fit for this type of tool • They're magnetic (Always a plus for most of my needs) • The right assortment of S.A.E. & Metric for my needs My thoughts so far: • The sizes printed on the actual bits isn't the best. One bit doesn't have a dimension on it & one is crooked. • The bits are oily, but it's better than them being rusty. Lots of new tools and devices made from metals gets packed with grease or oils to prevent rust. Cleanup is easily done with a rag. • The advertised bit length of 2.3" is correct and feels right for my needs. • I do not know what tolerances small hex bits should be machined to but I've provided (see image) what I actually measured each bit to. I used brand name (Mitutoyo) calipers for these measurements. These are advertised as being measured for a perfect fit, but my measurements don't reflect that statement. The smaller sizes will be where the measurement really matters and the 2mm bit fit loose in several screws I tried it in, but that could be due to them being cheap screws (I used 3mm screws which have a 2mm hex head). • The smalles hex bit, the 1.5mm, doesn't have a sharp hexagon shape and seems almost cylindrical on one side.. I do not have any screws with a 1.5 hex head to try it on. • I will have to use these for a while to test how well they hold up, but my hopes are that they do well and don't easily strip out.. I'd much rather the screw strip out then have to constantly replace tools. I will try to update this review once I've used these for a while and have a better idea how they're holding up. I hope you find this information useful.

Glorious set of American Engineering
From a New Jersey company registered in Delaware, Owl Tools allen bit are a missing piece of ingenuity that worked perfect with the Dewalt power Screwdriver. I used to dread using an allen wrench from the package. Thought assembly is nothing but nightmarish as an actual job. But this set makes it very bareble, very easy. I almost made the mistake of buying chinese brand allen bits, because they are that rare. With Owl tools, i was confindent i was going to get a good quality product. And they delivered. With a plethora of bits to choose from. Get a power screwdriver and assemble away.

Guitar bridge adjustments
I do guitar repair and set-up. These are perfect for string height adjustments. I buy the pro tools that are critical, but amazon provides budget friendly options for the rest.

Wish I Had It Before
I thought I had all the tools I needed. Maybe now I do. :-) I was assembling a snow thrower that used 4 Allen Screws to attach the wheel and handlebar bracket to the base unit. The Allen Screws were close to the bracket which required the insertion of the Allen Wrench, turn 180 degrees, remove, pivot, reinsert, turn 180 degrees and repeat. They were long screws. If I had these Allen Wrench drill bits it would have been BRRRRRP, next. The bits look fine and the size is printed on the shaft. Hopefully it will not wear off. The bits are black which typically means they are impact, which the site page indicates they are. They look so nice all lined up in the box on the site page. Mine were a jumbled mess and 2 small plastic tabs on the case were broken. This is not an issue as I probably won't use the plastic case.

Ok for some applications
I bought these for a specific application. I liked they would work with a drill/driver hex head to speed up my work (vs the traditional L or T handle allen key that I would have had to turn by hand... In that sense they worked well and sped up my project for me, I couldn't ask for much more. That said there are a couple issues. As others have noted its hard to tell just how closely the smaller units are machined to the stated tolerances. I haven't put the calipers to mine, but some of the smaller bit ends look... uneven vs a precisely machined tool. The other issue I encountered is the strength. Their advertisement as 'hardened steel' is one of the reasons I chose this set. Well I just turned the end of the hex head of my 10mm bit, trying to open my transmission drain plug. Now part of the blame here probably lies with the dealership 'tech' that last torqued the plug to much, much higher than the spec calls for... And part of it I will say probably likes with me for asking the tool to do maybe more than it was designed to. In any case, in the war between a 1/4" box wrench and my transmissions drain plug, the 10mm allen bit was the only casualty. So in conclusion, this set is ok, for the right cases. If you are looking to go fast, and use your electric drill or 1/4" driver to speed things up, these bits are great. Or if you need a straight bit to get into a tight space, again, I think this is a solid option at a reasonable price. If you have to do heavy duty work, you may find these are not the best option out there.

Wasted money. Might work once or twice then scrap.
I wouldn’t buy or recommend these. There heavy and the material is ok. However the sizes are not even close to correct. Only a few of the sizes match my hex/ Allen keys and if your using them with a drill you will strip a lot of bolts/screws. There more rounded then hex shaped. At first look there nice however the majority of the flat sides are just paint once you try a few bolts you will notice there not straight. Have been working with Allen’s and hex head bolts and screws 20 years you would be better off cutting a cheap set of Allen wrenches and using them in a drill.

You get what you pay for
Oof, the quality on this isn't great. The smallest imperial hex bit is all skew, looks like a manufacturing defect (-1 star). Also the plastic case was broken when I opened the sealed box, looks like it may be because the bits doesn't fit properly in the case (-1 another star). We'll see how long these bits last, but I'm not optimistic. At least they were cheap.

Just What You Need In You Toolbox
These hex bits were great fit for what I was looking for. I was not overly impressed with the box they came in, but that is a minor issue. The bits themselves seem to be of a good quality. I put a couple different sizes to the test right after I got them. They performed as well as any I have used in the past. I would highly recommend them. Good price and speedy delivery.
