NEWTRY 3 in 1 Electric Hoist Winch 1,100lb Wireless Remote Control, Cable Remote Control, 110/120 Volt Portable Power Electric Hoist, Vertically & Horizontally, Lift 16ft/min

Used it for the first time to load an 850-lb diesel compressor on wheels up a trailer ramp and inside. Ten minutes later, I loaded another 500-lb piece of equipment. During the second loading/pull, the winch stopped—like the remote lost connectivity. It happened two or three times very briefly but ultimately it kept running and accomplished the task. This didn’t happen at all during first, heavier pull, so I thought maybe the winch motor got a little hot. It was hot outside—like 90ºF. Still this winch worked extremely well—way better than two full-size men pushing and pulling—so I’m very pleased with the performance and purchase. The only other issue I had was making sure the cable spools evenly onto the internal drum as it’s pulling in. I had to go to the unit and push/pull (left/right) to get it to wind side to side in an even manner. Maybe you don’t HAVE to do this, but I didn’t want to let it pull onto the drum and see what happens. It’s a better question for the manufacturer. Regardless, I don’t think it’s a good idea—especially if there is a slight pull/bias to one side—to just keep winching and not supervise/manage respooling onto the drum. Overall, the unit is strong, fast and easy to use. It is ready to deploy right out of the box. All the accessories (wired remote, gloves, one pull strap, steel anchor point and hardware) were a great add/bonus—especially the strap which I used both time—for an amazing price. The basic, wireless remote is fantastic and all I used.

This works great, pulled in structural wall of garage to repair, fix damaged door track, etc. this thing is powerful, and as advertised, does great in horizontal or vertical applications. This unit is a champ (and a beast) for medium duty lifting, pulling, winching allkinda of loads. Seems it would do better than max load a bit. The hooks are SOLID heavy, locking and inspire confidence. The price is right. It’s compact enough to move around among multiple locations in shop, basement, garage. Good for use in remote areas on your property too. I’m planning on building a tall tree house in the Spring and this will surely play a starring role. Love the two remote controls wireless and wired switch. Finding more uses, lift for truck bed cap, canoe, bike lift, luggage rack, furniture/projects to paint/finish suspended easier. Glad I have this confident winch in house now. It’s also fun!

Noisy and slow but works well.

I purchased my electric hoist in August of 2021 and immediately hung it inside my shop where I used it for more things than I could imagine. Because it is easy to move, I relocated it several times over the years to areas where the work was being done and the hoist is remarkably handy. I do need to replace the hand controller ( if someone can point me in the right direction) and that is only because I have abused the one I have mercilessly. This is an awesome tool.

I bought this winch in february to haul a light wheeled item in and out of a cargo bay. We would roll it out and then because it was slightly up hill, we used this cargo winch to move it up the slight (2 degrees) grade. It's used twice a month more or less. After 5 months (about 12 times) the cable came off the spool and wedged against itself. It began pulling against itself and basically destroyed itself from the inside. Amazon allowed me an exception to return it outside the 120 day window. I would recommend a winch with a clutch where you can manually release the cable to make sure it is winding properly. This one does not have that capability.

We store lots of good stuff in our attic and use a pull-down attic stairs for access. It's difficult and dangerous to carry stuff up and down those very narrow tiny steep stairs. We tried a hunters hoist pulley system, but it was cumbersome and rickety, and eventually broke.So, we got this thing and it works wonderfully. To mount it, we cut two 2x6s to fit between the attic rafters, stacked them to make a 4x6 and secured the stack with lag screws. We then fastened the included mounting hook to the 4x6 with lag screws. Then we fastened this unit between the rafters with lag screws, strategically placed over the best spot in the stairwell opening. We hung the hoist and oiled the wire cable as directed with a WD oil gel.We use a CleverMade Collapsible Laundry Basket, Large, which is rated for 50 pounds, to contain stuff. The two remote controls make it so easy to use. We keep the wireless on the main floor and use the wired from the attic.This has been a great home improvement project which had added so much convenience and improved safety.

This has made changing the blades on my zero turn mower a breeze. I have even used it to lower heavy items down a ramp out of my truck. I also used it to lift the rear end of my 54" zero turn to change the belts. I have used this at least a dozen times over the year or more I have had it. It works perfectly.

My previous review below. Revised my rating from 1 to 3, purely based on the excellent customer service I received. Seller was quick to respond to my complaint and offered an exchange. Unfortunately I had already purchased a different model. I am sure this problem was just a glitch as there are many satisfied customers who bought their model. The new model I bought has the exact same internals, just different packaging. Pity though is that it doesn't have the extras you get with NEWTRY's model like the remote, straps etc. EXCELLENT customer service though.Was excited to receive the product. Before use, I thought I'd test it. Fed about 6-8 inches of cable out with no load on the winch, pushed button to wind the cable back in and it worked for a second and I heard a poof noise as something blew on the inside. I could hear the relay working when the buttons are pushed but the device is as dead as a doornail. Returned and asked for refund. Will buy another product.
