Back-UPS Pro - BR1600SI - UPS 1600VA (8 IEC outlets, LCD interface, sinewave power output)

We seem to have a lot of power cuts so this device offers piece of mind and protection for my expensive PC and accessories. It is easy to set up and just works in the background. The seller contacted me prior to shipment to advise it would come with a European power cord but they would provide a UK plug adaptor instead. It does not however ship with any power cord, so used my PC power cable,, so the adaptor was not necessary. The unit arrived much earlier than expected, excellent Seller and Amazon service.

Comes with the required USB connection for Mac Mini M1 2020 - works well!

Despite very high price, the unit came without a mains electricity power cable, so before it could be used I had to go and obtain a power cable. Usually electrical devices that are designed to be connected to main electricity come with a correct power cable. Extraordinarily unhelpful ommission. The Amazon website gave no warning e.g. "This unit does not come with a power cable and appropriate plug", so in order to use this item you will need to obtain a suitable mains power cable.

This is a fantastic UPS. Beware though, you do not get a power lead as such, you have to use your 3 pin pc plug or nas plug to power it and then use the supplied lead to hook up your pc/nas to the UPS. You cannot plug uk 3 pin plugs directly into this, however if you buy a few of these: Pro Elec IEC C14 Plug to 10A UK Socket Power Lead Black, then you are good to go. I have my modem, router, nas, pc, printer, 3d printer and monitor all plugged in and it's only on half load, but if I have a power cut my equipment will stay on for a bit so I can shut it down safely.

Great little “powerhouse” — literally. I’ve been using these for a couple of months now and just ordered my 11th. Instead of one massive UPS humming away like Darth Vader in a server room, I prefer scattering these smaller units around the network like battery-powered ninjas. They’re not SMART UPS models, but plug them in via the included USB cable and you can still coax some data out of them — just needs a bit of Python wizardry. And to anyone moaning about the lack of a mains cable: you're supposed to use the one already powering the device. You don’t need two plugs for one socket, unless you’re trying to start a fire.

Bought one of these to run our vaccine fridge in the event of a power cut. Turns out we have to spend more money on a kettle lead to power the unit as it doesn't come with....and also an IEC C14 to UK adapter so that we can power the fridge....not good enough when spending £500. And this is not clear in the description (if it's there at all) so we're now waiting for another delivery before we can set this up.

I guess I overspeed on this. A hard drive cage with 10 disks, a protectli vault and 2 small form factor PCs add to 10% power usage, so plenty time to shut everything down I guess. Has been used twice already due to storms and it worked as expected.

This expensive item was not delivered the Amazon said “handed to customer”. Unfortunately the delivery included nearly a dozen items and my wife didn’t check each one. Refund required ASAP. I needed this urgently so reordered next and that one arrived!!!

Now this does it job and just keeps on doing what its made for.

Très efficace et silencieux

I only had a modem and a switch connected to the battery. After 1,5 years the device gave “clamp error” code F04. I contacted support in the Netherlands. After more than half an hour of waiting front desk promised I was going to be called back. I also emailed APC Netherlands that day. No reaction. After few days I tried again. No reaction at all. With this item you buy a product without any technical support. Better think twice when throwing away your money!
