Will this fit inside the ps5 ssd expansion slot?

I can tell you that I paired this heat sink with a Western Digital SN850 and installed it into my PS5 with no issue. I have been beta testing it for a few days and everything works fine so far. The heat sink looks a little big when you first put it into the expansion slot, but the cover fit over the bay just as easily as if the SSD and heat sink were not there.

Will this fit a samsung 980 pro?

As long as the length desribed is 2280, IE M.2 2280 ssd form factor then yes it will fit. That number 2280 is the length of the M.2 drive as in 2280 mm.

Will this keep the 1tb wd black sn850 cool in the ps5?

These have kept my 1tb gen 4 ssd from Micron cool, as well as my 2tb gen 3 ssd from XPG cool. So if it fits I think it should work well.
