The Comedy Bible Workbook: The Interactive Companion to "The New Comedy Bible" (The Comedy Bible Presents)

She's getting me started. I'm so thankful I was introduced to her work.

Many years ago, 2OO2 to be exact, I’d decided to do amateur stand up to improve stage presence and craft humor for audience id eventually speak in front of for business. A tiny ad in a paper in the Raleigh, NC area offered a six week live class. I was hooked. But, had to put things on hold after relocating as nothing was local in my new area. In about 2006 stumbled upon The Comedy Bible. In a new city found a hole in the wall club with amateur night. For two years almost every week was at one of three clubs. On weekends, with an unlimited pass studied two comics for two shows with different audiences. Began doing my ‘waiting in line’ gig while at stores checking out. Found opportunities to ‘practice’ on stage or impromptu audiences most anywhere. Especially with students in my classroom. What I remember most about that time period was Judy response to an email I’d sent as homework from the book. Through these years stared at the note and never forgot. With social media making everyone on the planet more accessible found Judy on LinkedIn a few years ago. I’ll never forget when she accepted my request to connect. I’ve promoted the CB to aspiring comedians. Kesley Humphrey’s is soaring after getting her copy. Totally should check her out on Instgram. Hilarious. Judy’s thought provoking and mindful attention to detail is bar none an industry gem for anyone from teacher to comedian. This workbook is a helpful tool for success. Like have a Workshop conveniently priced affordably compared to in person or online. AND, Judy is accessibly. You can reach out and she’ll respond if you have a question or comment. Found a FB group. Not on FB much anymore, but it’s a great resource if you use it. Highly recommend Judy’s community for any of her books from this to the Message of You. Taking comedy and twisting it into high paying speaking gigs with all the details you’d need right in the book. Five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Judy’s the best. This work book puts into practice the process of joke writing. I have both workbook and Comedy bible and the workbook can be a standalone but the Bible enhances the practices!!

Love Judy's writing style. Have read all her books. Within, one year, gigs: NYC Gotham Comedy Club, small-town, Rhode Island Comedy Connection 3x, and local gigs...except for Gotham Comedy Club, these were all modest paying gigs. But, my first gig, I was paid to perform from being seen at a graduation performance. Not, all from the her books, but I implemented the go for it, set a plan and do it, attitude that her books instills, it still hasn't instilled daily morning writing sessions into me, but I do daily morning meditation about it and visualizations, lol

Easy to understand plenty of room to write in

70% of the book is blank, it's a fill in the blanks type of book. Astonishing greedy to sell this book at that price. The author in the book hints at also buying the PDF version. This author is all about $$$. Also an amazon self published book of substandard printing quality.

Great way to get creative and build a set for performance. Judy is the best!

Has many helpful writing tips. Teaches a lot on how to do amazing comedy improvs. Inspires to write more than one would otherwise write. Helps to organize and express all ideas in one place. When people say this is a book not worth buying, I would disagree: it is worth every cent, alone for fact the one is guided through the creativity process by the true genius of Judy.

Don't be fooled by the cover its literally just empty line pages.... YOU NEED THE ORIGINAL BOOK that is wait for it CHEAPER than this crap. WTF
