For some reason this item loses it's function and I have to take it apart, clean it, and put it back together before it will work correctly. I think it may get a bit of debris stuck holding open the flap valve and breaking the seal required for drawing water into the system. Not sure why they couldn't design it well enough to keep that from happening.

This product is used to bale out the water out of my aluminum boat when at the dock after a rain and to prime up the water pressure system at our cabin which consists of 150 ft. of line between the pump and the river. This line is laid very shallow and needs to be drained every fall and oftener if needed. 100 strokes with the bilge pump will clear the line of air so I can prime the pressure system. WORKS GREAT.

Primary use will be for priming our Jet pumps. No more hauling buckets of water to prime, and wondering if the foot valves are still working.

Ordered 4 of these and ended up getting one of the 500 model That would be find but they are in a system together and therefor the different outlet size make it in compatible with the other hoses
