These work as expected. I use them gor my DCC handheld for model railroad. You do need to get a special crimper. I do my own 6 pin and 4 pin flat wire work but even a beginner in a few trys will become a pro at doing it.

I had an issue with my RJ11 wires plug because the end wouldnt snap into place and would side out on my RV, I found these replacement plugs and snipped the end off the broken one, lined the colors up and used a special crimper that I borrowed from a friend and in 2 minutes I had a new plug end! Great Plug

I installed these RJ9 connectors on a high quality Western Electric handset cord and the resulting connection was dead—no dial tone. The cord was known to work—the reason for replacing the connector was that the locking mechanism broke. I carefully prepared the wire, fully inserted it into the connector and crimped with a high quality crimper that I used in the past and … nothing. The connectors looked like they were installed correctly. I tried re-crimping —-nothing. I tried cutting off the “defective” connector and carefully installed a new RJ9 connector. No cigar. The connection looked good; I couldn’t figure it out. Then I got out a 40 year old El-cheapo plastic crimper and … it worked! I then re-crimped other non-working connections with the old El-cheapo crimper and they worked too! So if you install these connectors and the connection doesn’t work, try a different crimper. What I thought was a high quality crimper did not work, but an old El-cheapo one did.

Not much demand for these today, but when you need one it is nice to have.

Worked great on my Telephone Handsets

I have some old phones, one of which needed a new handset cord, but I couldn't find one in just the right color. So I ordered some of these 4P4C ("RJ9") connectors and was able to replace the broken connector myself. Worked perfectly.

These are RJ14 not RJ11. RJ14 are slightly narrower, but they worked for my application.

Used for Arjo medical lift remote control. Saved buying a new remote when all it needed was a new plug
