Gentle handwriting practice without overwhelming little learners
Weโve really enjoyed adding Learning Without Tears to our homeschool routine. I love that the lessons are short, simple, and focused on proper letter formation without giving kids an overwhelming amount of writing at once. Itโs been especially nice for building confidence and strengthening those early handwriting skills while still keeping practice manageable and enjoyable. Definitely a resource Iโm happy to have in our homeschool!

Our go-to Handwriting curriculum
Handwriting Without Tears has been our go-to handwriting curriculum. This set was extremely helpful to have, the journal comes with matching HWT paper that follows the style that is being taught with the work book. If you're looking for a wonderful print handwriting curriculum for Kindergarten this is the one to get.

GOLD STANDARD FOR HANDWRITING!!!
I have used this program for years and years to teach and improve handwriting in my pediatric occupational therapy practice. Handwriting Without Tears (HWT) is truly the gold standard, in my opinion. There is an order in which children learn how to draw a vertical line, horizontal line, diagonal line, curved line, etc., and this book not only practices doing that, but introduces letters in an order that practices those skills in the way they are meant to be learned. The order of the letters throughout the workbook is not โrandomโ, though it may seem that way. The teacherโs guide is a great reference and helps parents, grandparents, teachers, and therapists learn how to teach the HWT program the correct way. 12/10 recommend!

Good except for 6
I love this curriculum except for the way it teaches writing the numeral 6. It instructs students to start with a straight line down, then curve into a little circle. This looks more like a lowercase b. But otherwise this curriculum is great.

Fun hands on writing!
I was a little hesitant buying this program at first because my oldest used it in public school and I don't like the way he writes some letters but we decided to try it anyways. I'm really glad I gave it another chance! My prek/ kindergartener has really enjoyed this program and even pulls it out wanting to work more. He has autism so we wanted a program that was more hands on since he struggles with just sitting and writing. We first build the letter with wood pieces (I made these but you can buy them from HWOT) then we do the chalkboard and finish up his the book. It has been working wonderfully for us. He's forming very nice letters and is enjoying it so that's a win! Will be using this program with his younger sister when she's old enough as well. She already works in their green prek book for fun. (Chalkboard pic is his first first time writing them on the board by following their steps)

Best Handwriting Curriculum
We've tried different handwriting curriculum, but this is by far the best and helped my son immensely in learning how to write letters. My one gripe is some of the letters seem a little weird, but that's just because they are a different style than what I use/learned. I do wish there was more guidance on using the journal, but that's a small gripe.

Great Gentle Introduction to Handwriting for Kindergarteners
This bundle is a perfect gentle start to handwriting for young learners. The materials are thoughtfully designed for small hands, and the activities build skills step by step without overwhelming kids. The student workbook is engaging and the writing journal is helpful for extra practice, and the teacher's guide makes it easy to support learning at home or in the classroom. I appreciate how it focuses on forming good habits from the beginning... like letter size, placement, and neatness... while still keeping things fun and age-appropriate. Great foundation for confident, early writers!

Excellent Handwriting Program for Home Learning
As both a mom and a literacy teacher, I really appreciate how easy this program is to use. The lessons are well organized, engaging, and build handwriting skills step by step. I found the activities simple to follow at home, and they helped make handwriting practice feel positive rather than frustrating. I would recommend this program to parents and educators looking for a structured, developmentally appropriate approach to teaching handwriting.

Great product but poor printing quality
Developmentally appropriate for teaching handwriting but very poor printing quality. Multiple stains over the book. The teachers handbook is highly repetitive. You really only need the student workbook (letters and numbers for me)

Great investment!
Absolutely amazing, my child learned so much so quickly with no fighting or crying. I found the package with the teachers manual was a better idea, as I am by no means a teacher, it was super helpful
