Excellent Belt, Just Not My Size
I looked at belts for quite a while before selecting the Carhartt Men's Anvil Belt. I sought out reviews and viewed photos of the product using the magnifier, just to see what kind of construction they had. I was impressed, to say the least. These belts are genuine leather and solid pieces, not thin strips with paper fillers sewn together. Very impressive. The buckle construction is chunky and heavy, very durable. All-in-all, a belt I WISH I could wear. I am at the weird end of the spectrum body-type-wise, and am quite skinny. I have a 30" waist and this belt, as nice as it is, just doesn't fit me. Carhartt belts all start at 34" and go up from there. So, even on the last hole position, it's still just a bit too big, and it leaves a lot of extra belt to have to tuck in. SO, I gave it to my son who has a 32" waist and it fits him great! He loves it. I just wish Carhartt would make belts for us small guys! I love their products and wear the Men's Twill Work Pants everyday! That's what got me to looking at more of their product line, the pants are excellent, so maybe other Carhartt products are good too. And they are. Just not my size. Oh well. Hope this helps you. The belt is very nicely constructed and well finished, but you better have a 32" waist or larger to be able to wear it.

Classic Durability, Great Value, Minimal Signs of Decline with Intense Use
I purchased this belt to replace a Carhartt model that survived nearly 15 years of heavy use (farm work and contracting). While many note a decline in Carhartt’s overall quality, I haven’t seen that yet in their leather goods—especially belts. Build Quality: • Leather finish and grain are consistent with the high standards I’ve come to expect from Carhartt. • The buckle cladding appears slightly cheaper—likely tempered steel or an aluminum mix—but this doesn’t compromise function, only aesthetics upon close inspection. Fit and Wear: • True to size; I’m a 32x30 and opted for a slightly shorter tail for a cleaner fit. • Versatile enough for daily wear and presentable enough to pair with slacks and a casual sport coat. Durability Expectation: • Based on past experience with Carhartt belts, I expect 10+ years of reliable use. • This is my sixth Carhartt belt, and all have performed consistently across years of wear. Verdict: Solid craftsmanship, fair pricing, and trusted longevity. Carhartt’s belts remain a smart investment if you prioritize durability and understated style.

Still Going Strong After 10+ Years
Perfect!! I bought this belt back in 2015 and here I am in 2026 still using it every day. It’s aged really well, nice patina, and I don’t plan on replacing it. it still looks great.

I am glad i did as I am on the 2nd hole ...
I'm retired now so its cargo shorts in the summer and levis in the winter here in SoCal. To be honest i was looking for a decent gunbelt for my CCW. When I did my search on Amazon, Ebay and other places, its ridiculous that you have to pay more for a belt than the jeans and shirt combined! When I did my search in Amazon, this belt came up. I was somewhat surprised by the belt and cost. Then i read a review by a fellow CCW carrier and I decided to give it a shot. Also, I was worried about sizing as sometimes other reviewers can give different feedback. I where a 36 in mens pants, jeans, cargoshorts so i ordered the size 38 belt. I am glad i did as I am on the 2nd hole from the last which is right where i like it! As far as the belt goes it appears to be a single piece of leather and the height is just approx 1 1/2 inches so it fits perfectly through the levis and cargoshorts with no room to spare. More, importantly, it fits the same way through my crossbreed OWB and compared to my old leather 1" belt really hugs my waist at the 3:30/4pm position. It is snug. I carry a pretty light 9mm compact about 17oz and there is no list or lean...sweet!! The thickness of this belt will make it a little while before it breaks in so i cant speak to long term wear & tear but i can tell you this, if i wanted to go to a more medium to full size ccw on a owb holster...this is sturdy enuff to hold that rig up. This has been a very pleasant surprise so when it comes to value to cost , its 4 stars for now....if i can get at least 2 + years of continuous wear outta this....its worth more than what i paid for it! Very happy with this purchase...Now, if this thing starts falling apart, amazon will be the first to know in my update........

Nice quality leather belt
This belt is really well built. It's just a single piece of thick leather, so there's no worry for it to split apart in layers or anything. The color looks nice, even though it's a little darker than what you see from the picture. The belt is made in China, but I don't think that could mean this is not a good quality item. The buckle is a gun metal color, which looks really nice, but I'm not sure about how long is it going to last in place. The buckle is a little big too, more than 2 inches wide and long. The brand's logo is engraved in the leather, but it's almost not noticeable, so no issues there. The last thing I'm adding here is that the belt doesn't have any bolt or screw to hold the buckle. I has 2 seams to keep both sides together, which I think looks nicer. In summary: Nice quality leather (thick and single-piece) Nice color (darker brown - dark brown gradient) Big buckle (more than 2 inches in width and length) Gun metal-colored buckle (hopefully will last long) No screws to keep buckle in place (leather is stitched together) Nothing else to say, I'll update if I find it necessary.

Last belt you’ll ever need
The price seems high, but these things last. You’ll have it for years and years. It’s very stiff out of the box but it breaks in over time.

One week shy of 10 years when it gave out
The buckle broke through the leather on mine this morning after 10 years of daily wear. For $35, you can't beat a decade of life honestly. Great belts.

Understated fashion and good quality
I needed a sturdy belt to help keep my too-loose pants secure while working at a physically fast-paced environment. There was as much wear and tear as you would expect at the buckle/pinhole area after daily use for a year. Still, the belt did not fray, nor did the buckle chip. The design was not particularly attractive, but muted which was the aesthetic that I was going for. Additionally, the matte black (instead of silver) of the buckle gave it an understated yet modern flair. As for the material of the belt - it didn't feel luxurious, yet it also didn't feel cheap. It was hard as plastic but smooth and somewhat soft. It felt like a $30 belt if that makes sense. I was perfectly happy with it, but please note that I stopped wearing the belt after a year because I no longer needed it (change of work and dress code requirements). Furthermore, I threw it away because it reminded me of all the terrible experiences I had while wearing it. Still, I cannot blame the belt for that and must give it 5 stars as I am unable to provide a reasonable warranting 4 stars instead.

Not happy.
Ordered this belt weeks ago, it was cut at the back. Returned it and ordered a replacement, which arrived with the same fault. Returned that belt and still waiting on my refund.
