Are these real i have no experience in any of this but i would like to know so i can buy

Yes, these crystals are 100% real and natural.

What country are these crystals from?

This black tourmaline comes from Brazil.

What's the red substance coming off some of them it looks like blood on a paper towel

Mine didn't have that. I have no idea what that could be. You might want to be a little more specific. Are you talking a liquid substance (blood) or dried blood? My guess it is dust from another crystal or stone?

How many pieces do you get in a 1/2 pound

I ordered 1/2 pound large tourmaline pieces and received 5 large pieces 1.5-2" long along with a nice palm size selenite piece.
