I'm 74yrs old and have always had fish tanks, either fresh or saltwater. This water conditioner is a must-have for maintaining healthy fish, especially if you live in an area where the water is heavily chlorinated like I do. The fastest way to kill your fish is to neglect adding this when doing a water change! Over the years I have used lots of different brands and they all do the job. The reason I wanted to review this one is because the dispenser is so much better than most water conditioner bottles I've used. I love the little flip-up top that makes it so easy to squirt into my measuring cup. Sounds like a little feature but when you use as much of this as I do it really makes a difference. I do a lot of water changes because my tank includes a very messy little aquatic turtle. There are clear instructions for measuring out the correct amount, too. I am on my second bottle and don't plan to order anything else in the future. For fish keepers, I would highly recommend this brand!

I have used this for years and it last quite along time for my 55 gallon. It’s a good value and keeps my fish healthy.

This aquarium conditioner is awesome.

Caught early as soon as a few lil ichs appeared on my new fish . Cured In 2 days without raising water temp and used with prime water conditioner with no issues at all even though it says not to. Didn’t effect or kill any of my filter media like other meds have before. And funny cause my fish to act weird at all when dosed like other meds

This is great for me because I don't have huge tanks and this should last me a long time. I got it, because I just can't take the smell of Prime and its sulfur. Like the title says it takes a lot more to treat the water though but I am ok with that. It's a trade off I am willing to live with. Seachem Prime works period, but it stinks. I used Hikari Ich X and it's some great stuff, so I trust their product.

I have been using tap water for years with all my tanks and always used prime. My tap water in my town is cleaned with ammonia which is deadly to fish. After using prime for years, my water was so acidic that it barely showed up on the api master test kit at less than 6.0ph. I had to buffer the water with crushed coral for years and couldn't figure it out. I was recommended by a fish store to try ultamate and I finally did. All problems that lasted for years are gone. I prepare the water in buckets atleat 2 days before I use it as a precaution. For a 5 gallon bucket I use about 3ml to treat the water and it even keeps the ph up to 7.0 now. No need for crushed coral. Just to know with this product it will give you a false POSITIVE for AMMONIA for a few days so don't worry. I am very happy I found this product and I will never use anything else again. I have had this bottle for a year now treating atleat 50 gallons a month and I still have more than 3/4 of a bottle. So this bottle will last a long time!

Seems to work good. Was a no brainer as the price of Prime went through the roof this is basically the same thing half price.
