Amazon Basics 16-Piece Chrome Vanadium Steel Punch and Chisel Set with Storage Pouch, Cold Chisel, Pin Punch, Center Punch

Surprisingly good quality chisel, punch and pin set, including a padded tool roll, at an affordable price. These chisels are rough ground so you might want to give them a few passes on a stone before using them. They’re not really designed for precision work but instead are best suited for rough shaping metals, masonry and carpentry type work The punches and pins cover most basic shop tasks and seem fairly heavy duty, though I would not go pounding away on hard steel with any of these tools. You’ll probably break them The sizes are pretty standard for DIY and home metal or woodshop. They seem to hold an edge quite well and are adequate hardness for these types of tools

First time buying Amazon Basics, I usually stick to higher in brands, but the price was right and the reviews were good on this product. For the week that I have had these, I am very impressed with the durability of these so far. I have “put the beans to them” and they’re holding up to the test. Places where I’d usually use an air hammer, they get the job done. Really like the smaller sizes as well for getting pins out, works perfect. So far so good, I’ll update if they break. Also, when rolled up they fit snug in a top drawer. Thinking about making a foam insert like my snap on ones have.

Size and quality of these is good. I've seen several reviews mentioning that they are too small or damage easily. They are standard as far as sizing. Not too small and large enough for heavy work. If you know how to actually use a punch, chisel, etc, they hold up just fine with no damage. I suspect those that complained about how durable they are aren't using them properly.....user error.

Holder could be better quality but the tools are great amd strong don't mushroom head like most.

Basic, simple, tips are decent might need a little touch up on end. Punches are great.

Just a good set of tools for not much money. I don't use punches much, but when I do, I like to have durable tools, a variety of tools for every need and in a case so they are all in one place., This fits the bill in all of those.

Comparing these to some name brand sets I have they work just as well. The one i used the most hasnt bent yet

Ive used these daily on several maintenance tasks and they are very good quality. Chisels have not dulled or chipped even on grade 8 bolts. I am actually very surprised.

Amazon Basics Punch and Chisel Set Review Very impressed with this punch and chisel set! The tools feel solid and well made, and the chrome vanadium steel construction gives them a durable, quality feel. The 16-piece selection is great for a variety of workshop and DIY jobs, and having everything organized in the included storage pouch is a big plus. The tools are easy to grab when needed and the set takes up very little space. For the price, this is an excellent value. A useful, versatile set to have in the toolbox, whether you’re doing occasional home projects or more regular mechanical work. Definitely happy with this purchase!
