Works GREAT for lymphedema, hypermobility, posture support, blisters, pain, injuries...
I bought this giant roll of K tape after my PT recommended it to me. She said that this brand, in BLACK, sticks the best to areas of the body where the K tape may fall off more easily, like areas where the tape needs to contour & go over areas like an ankle, under a foot, etc. I use the K tape for me for LYMPHEDEMA & it works VERY well! It causes a DRAMATIC improvement in my leg, foot, ankle, leg, & thigh swelling. For lymphedema I cut the tape into strips, while leaving an area at the one end where the strips are all connected (the anchor point of the tape section) to help the lymph flow. The way I cut the tape to achieve these strips was taught to me by my PT with several years & levels of MLD training. I cut a strip the desired length, fold it in half lengthwise, cut down the lengthwise fold all but about an inch or two from one end to leave an anchor point & stabilize the thinner strips, then cut the 2 lengthwise strips in half which results in 4 strips connected to the anchor point/ end of the strip, slightly round the edges of all the corners, then I stick the anchor part to my upper thigh or by my ankle, & then carefully stick the thin strips diagonal across my thigh or across my foot towards my toes. My PT told me NOT to stretch the tape when using it for lymphedema, unlike when using K Tape for injuries. We also use it on blisters, slivers, etc. to promote healing per our doctor's advice. She told one of my kids (in the health field) to put it on a blister that was hurting her, & it took away the pain she had and she was able to work on her feet ALL DAY with zero pain. We also use it to give support to our hypermobile joints, as well as when we twist those hypermobile joints, & between our shoulders/up the back of our necks to give posture support & to remind us to self correct/stand straight. This is the brand recommended by our chiropractors, PTs, LMT, etc. & we are VERY pleased with it. We can SHOWER with it on & either pat it dry after or blow dry it gently, & it stays for about a week before it really falls off. It lasts even longer when we use it in full strips, & don't cut it into thinner strips, like when I use it on my feet & thighs for lymph flow. When it is cut into thinner strips it is easy for the tape edges to get caught on my lymhpedema wraps/Tubigrip, & socks. If I am careful, I can get the most wear out of it by trimming just a little of the loose ends off if they get snagged on my compression garments. I RECOMMEND this tape & will PURCHASE it again.

Kinesio tape has been a great solution to chronic ankle pain!
As a former professional figure skater I had torn ligaments in my ankle in 1980. I had zero physical therapy and ended up with a weak ankle. Years of step class, high impact aerobics, dancing, kickboxing took a toll and I tore the same ligaments a second time. I have a big build up of scar tissue and swelling. A bulky ankle brace was the only solution. I had seen the tape on athletes for years. I needed to go to a red carpet event and since I coul not wear the brace with my shoes my chiropracter suggested taping my ankle with kinesio tape. It worked like a charm! TKept the swelling down, I had zero pain and was able to wear my beautiful shoes! After that I started buying the tape from Amazon and had my chiropracter teach me some of the taping methods. (Which are specific per injury). My only complaint was the tape coming off too soon. I would wear a sock over it in bed. It was a meanace on my yoga mat, where it would roll. Since I discovered the Mueller Tuffner Pre-Tape Spray, the tape stays on longer.

Worked well for my daughter's shin splints
This seemed to help the best of anything my daughter tried for her shin splints. She did use Skin-Prep adhesive to help it stick better. The tape itself seems high quality.

Fantastic
This is the kind of tape my physical therapist uses. I tried Rock Tape (because the tattoo style is so cool) and classic Kinesio Tex. Rock tape was too irritating, making my skin itch. I lost a layer of skin every time I used it and actually had scabs afterward. Classic Kinesio Tex is good and stays put, but I like the Gold version better. Gold is more flexible than Classic. I use the tape to stop cramps in my legs, to keep my shoulder back in place, and to reduce pain in my levator and trapezius. The Gold kind feels like it is too flexible and could not possibly help, but it DOES. It works. I cannot believe how much less pain and cramping I have when I use this stuff. I have seen some comments about the colors having different "stay put-ness." I have used pink, blue, beige, and black, and I was surprised to find that they really are different. I would rank them beige, blue/pink (tie), black from least to most staying put. I have sensitive skin and can use the black kind for 4-5 days straight without problems. I do take a few days off before re-applying. When I use Classic, it irritates my skin after a day or two. That is a big reason that I like Gold better. Amendment: I told my PT that I feel like the black color stays on better, and she said yes, it is supposed to stay on better--it is the "sport" version. I also want to add that I tried a new, white KT Gold tape, which is billed as the waterproof version. It stayed on as well as or better than the black kind. But it looked dingy after a day, so I would not use it again. Also, it looked like I was wearing paper tape.

The Best
I had switched to Rock Tape for years of working with athletes, but honestly, this is the best tape. There is less reaction to the adhesive and the cotton is just more comfortable. It does not have the immediate adhesiveness as Level 3 Rock Tape, but if you tape a half hour before sweat happens it is just as good. I forgot how comfortable this tape is. Pro tip: For removal, I keep a spray bottle of rubbing alcohol on me. Saturate the tape, and the adhesive is broken down so it can be removed without pain.
