Jeep wrangler 2009 jk
I had a harness that came with my head unit but no sound would come out. Everything else would turn on but no sound. I tried all the YouTube university tricks. Nothing worked got this in today wired the head unit up and it worked perfect the first time. It fit the jeep and was very simple to follow directions with a built in amp. Make sure you pay attention to the instructions because mine was not color to color due to built in amp.

Crux is the best and what pros use to upgrade car stereos. Follow instructions
Crux is the best . For aftermarket stereo installs . I haven't used kit but I have installed plenty of these. In other car stereo upgrades . Don't hand cut wires or ruin your vehicles factory wiring kit. These are must have for updating your car stereo without changing stock wiring harness... These come in many styles for each car manufacturers and year and model to adapt to your personal needs or stereo upgrade.. this is what the pros use .

Beware mislabeled connector
I used this to install an aftermarket radio in my 2009 PT Cruiser. It replaced the stock radio which was standard equipment with 4 speakers in the doors. The 2 small in-dash speaker locations on top of the dash at either end have grills but do not have speakers installed and there is no subwoofer in the rear on the driver's side where these are installed for cars with upgraded sound options which would have come with an amplifier. I have the original factory sticker which confirms it is a standard AM/FM stereo with 4 speakers. When I installed a Pioneer stereo using the Non-amplified connector in the Crux harness, the rear speakers did not work. The instructions warn that the connector must not be connected to the wrong position or damage could occur. I concluded the radio had bad rear channels and returned it. I rechecked with the stock radio and it did have sound on the rear speakers. I next tried a Kenwood stereo wired to the same Crux harness and it had the same problem as the Pioneer (no sound from the rear speakers). Out of frustration, I took a chance and plugged the connector into the "Amplified" position and the rear speakers now work. This connector is labeled exactly backwards since this car does not have a factory amplifier. Everything seems to work fine including the feature that turns off the radio when the door is opened. It would have been a much better experience if the connector was labeled correctly and the installation instructions did not indicate that trying the other connector could damage the radio which is why I didn't risk trying this with the Pioneer radio, but I'm sure that radio would have worked as well if I had tried the other connector position. Docked one star for bad connector labeling/documentation.

Straight forward installation
It was very frustrating to figure how to power an after market radio in a 2006 Jeep Commander. It's maddening that for a car that was made 4 - 5 years how many options of radios and unconventional wiring there could be different than all other manufacturers standards. I could have wired the radio directly to a power source, but I really didn't want to start splicing cables attached to the car. So this little kit was finally my last option and it worked perfectly. Just wired it and it all went in easily. It took longer to modify the dashboard to install an after market double-din radio than to wire the radio. If you just want to get past all the amp / no amp business, just get this adapter and move on to the bigger issue, which how to make a standard radio fit to your Jeep or Chrysler dashboard.

I really wanted this to work correctly..
While there are some good things this unit does, there are a few downsides that are show stoppers for me.1. Sound Quality was very bad. Lots of static and feedback at Low volumes. It sounds like the gain on the Amp is maxed, but since it’s a factory amp, no way that I know of to control that gain. You’re stuck with the noise.2. I figured I’d try and update the firmware to possibly fix the static noise but they did not include a cable. Their firmware web page is unorganized and the few cables I tried never recognized the unit. Windows flags the software as bad because it’s unsigned by the developers and might do weird things. But I know the company is legit, been around forever but it’s a bad look.3. The latest documentation for the SCOOCR-26 is different from the one sent to me. For some odd reason, they removed the part that tells you “steering wheel controls are not compatible, please use Part #XXXXX”. I went crazy looking for what I needed until I found the included printed manual.4. Half of the time, the unit would not turn itself off even with the keys out, doors closed and locked. This should either work or not, and not work intermittently. Makes me think it’s software/firmware related. After doing more reading in the comments, went with the PAC like most others and have been pleased so far. Much less static feedback (90% reduction) and I might jacket some more wires to block additional interference.

Compatibilidad perfecta!

Works perfectly
This is a good wiring harness that comes with connectors for both 1st gen and 2nd gen plugs, as well as an adapter for both amplified or non-amplified systems, as well as the actual CANBUS module. Crux thought of everything. Installed it in my Jeep Compass tonight and everything works flawlessly.
