I bought this singing bowl to use in a yoga class I am teaching with teenagers. The bowl is small and hand-held, which is actually perfect for toting around, but the sound is clear and big! It fills the whole gym and sounds gorgeous. The students love it. The bowl is beautiful and VERY well-made. The cushion and mallet are also stunning! I was so happy with my bowl and then, somehow in the midst of a high school, it must have gotten dinged and it stopped ringing. I was heartbroken and contacted Resonance Imports to see if they had any suggestions for how to fix it. Their response was instantaneous and they were SO kind! They shipped me a new bowl free of charge within 2 days, and included a sweet note and a lovely mala bracelet as a little surprise! This is the most incredible customer service I have ever had, and I have my wonderful bowl back. This is an excellent product definitely worth buying, even for your own home for a peaceful sound. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this Singing Bowl. It's unique in that it comes with a stuffed pillow to place it on. Not a lot of the others had this available. The striker is carved, made of wood and is gracefully curved to allow the hand to easily hold it. The bowl itself is just over 3 inches at the mouth. The pleasing tone was more noticeable for the first 5 seconds then slowly faded. It lasted in total for about 12 seconds. The pictures really don't do it justice. It's a soft gold color of metal that sits on a black pillow with gold trim. It's light and can be transported anywhere. If you want to take it with you, it'll fit in a purse or suitcase with ease. Or just save the small box that it came with and reuse it. It was very well packaged with a fitted non-styrofoam material that will keep it's form for quite a while. It came with instructions on how to use the Singing Bowl, a website for free download of meditation songs, and place where you can leave questions or feedback. All in all, it is a quality Singing Bowl. My opinion is that it is an exceptional quality, especially for the price! I have to give this 5 stars.

The bowl I received rang sweetly, but would not sing. I have other singing bowls, all of which can be made to sing. It's normal enough; some will, some won't. As I wanted a bowl that would both ring and sing, I returned this one. What I didn't bank on was having an insistent series of email messages from the importer: "Why didn't you love our bowl? Why did you return it?" It wouldn't sing. I'm going to buy a bowl from a local shop, where I can test the bowl and support a local business. Thank you bye. "Oh, but we're great, and so are our bowls. Here's why!" "Have a discount coupon for a larger bowl than the one you were seeking. Also a smaller discount for a bowl of the size you chose." "Are you enjoying the bowl you bought from us?" And, today, three weeks after the purchase and return: "You have now had your Singing Bowl for about three weeks, and I just wanted to check in with you. At Skyfor, Inc., we are committed to guaranteeing your 100% satisfaction. I hope you enjoyed the information we have been sending you and are happy with your purchase. You think you are purchasing an item. Actually, you are entering into a long-term relationship with an eager suitor who has a keen purpose and a poor memory. Nice people, maybe, when they go home. In business, however, they do not heed responses or respect boundaries, and they don't know how to stop. What seems pushy in one culture is normal in another. This may be nothing more than cross-cultural difference set in a correspondence that does not end. If you're linking a bowl with a peaceful practice, then be advised that this one comes with static, friends, and sales pitches. The bowl does ring sweetly, whether or not it sings. If you aren't looking for a singing bowl, but you do want a long-term relationship, then buy here. Whether or not you keep the bowl, the seller will keep a commitment to fervent correspondence. You may not have a bowl, but you won't feel ignored, unwanted, or isolated ever again.

I read the reviews first so I was expecting it to be nice. I was not however expecting it to be so nice! It is gorgeous and I was more than happy with it. The sound from the bowl is incredible as I never thought that it would sound that good. I am giving it as a gift to my daughter who is spiritual and I have no doubt that she will love it. Thank you for a great product at a reasonable price.

This was my first singing bowl. I really like it. The bowl is beautiful and has a nice weight to it. The pillow is a little smaller than shown, and it's hard to keep the bowl balanced on it (you do need it to make it sing, I held it in my palm and the sound was much more dull). I was really excited when I did get it to sing but really have to focus on it not sliding off the pillow so it's hard to use it as a meditative tool for myself. The freebie music is really nice and the sellers website is really cool. They seem like really neat people. They do have an autobot that asks for feedback at least three times, which is annoying (I usually don't provide feed back when I'm pestered to do it - but I do like the bowl and I think the sellers are well intentioned).

The Singing Bowl from Resonance Imports arrived promptly and in good shape in time for September 11th commemoration. The bowl has a clean, uncluttered finely polished finish and the mallet has a nice natural grain. The velvet cushion has a beautiful and subtle design that the photographs do not fully do justice to. I had ordered the Tibetan Meditation Singing Bowl as a means of calling others to begin or conclude their prayer, but the product far exceeded my expectations. First of all, the product was beautiful simply to look at – beautifully shaped and polished – and the small cushion of which it sat (so necessary to avoid deadening the sound when it was struck) was similarly beautiful. And the tone when the bowl was struck was clear and sharp and would resonate for well over ten seconds as the sound gradually diminished. I found that covering the striker (which came with the bowl) with a piece of thin, soft cloth produced a softer, more pleasant tone. An excellent product!

I absolutely love my singing bowl! I have been looking at many different types but am so happy that I decided on this one. This singing bowl is small, but it's just the size I wanted since I didn't want one that would take up a lot of room/would be easy to carry around from place to place. It was delivered fast in a nicely packaged box. Besides the pillow, this product also comes with the healing crystal bracelet pictured in the photo. It's a little big on me but I'm still very happy with it, especially since the other singing bowls do not come with a healing crystal bracelet. The sounds emitted from the bowl are so serene and I love how well made the bowl is. Very pleased and would recommend.
