his pill cutter is cheap, but it does the job really well. It cuts tablets quickly and cleanly, and I was able to quarter even small tablets without much trouble. For the price, I was impressed with how well it worked. Overall, it is a simple but useful pill cutter that does exactly what it needs to do.

Works great! Very accurate cut. I like that it has the space and design to catch any small bits of pill. My partner uses this on very small tablets and manages to cut into quarters easily. It's small and portable enough to take anywhere. The plastic and the blade seem very sturdy.

This is an inexpensive pill cutter made from brittle rigid plastic that will likely last a few months before cracking or getting dropped on the floor and shattering. If longevity and a sleek appearance are important to you, look elsewhere. I bought this pill cutter because it was the least expensive one I could find. I need it to split my lactase pills which are small and crumbly but need to be divided accurately. It works for these, but with some limitations. As my photos show, it will cut in half and quarters, but not eighths as the listing claims. (It may work for eighths for bigger pills, but I didn't test any, so YMMV.) Overall the pill cutter is sturdy enough to do the job of cutting my chalky pills. I do wonder how long the catch will last though, and once that goes the whole thing should be replaced as it contains a razor blade mounted in the lid that has no sheath and relies on the lid remaining firmly shut for safety. In fact, any part of the internals chipping off would render the pill cutter unusable, so I don't expect it to last long. The other thing that annoys me is the brush. It's a great idea to include a small brush to clean out fragments of one type of pill before cutting another type, but I wish they had paid a bit more attention to aesthetics. It is opaque black and doesn't look like it goes with the blue pill cutter (or any of the other colours of pill cutter available), and there is nowhere to store it. If it were foldable or a little shorter it could have gone inside the closed pill cutter and been neatly stored. Even a clip on one side would have held it, since it mirrors the shape of the closed pill cutter. As it is, I have had to secure it with a rubber band so I'm not constantly looking for it. One final point is that it is quite fiddly to manipulate the pill into the right spot. I managed to tilt the whole pill cutter to rotate the pill to lie with the score line under the blade in the right orientation, but I imagine for someone with less nimble fingers it might prove difficult. Inclusion of a small pair of tweezers would help enormously.

I bought this cos I need to cut my meds in half and doing it by hand hurts my fingers. This works amazing for small sized pills. However the bottom part as shown in the pictures broke when it arrived, but it doesnt affect performance.

Does the cutting job nicely... Only downfall is the base isn't weighty enough and it rocks when opened fully, so be careful not to spill your pills.

8/23/2022: Liked this cutter so much that I ordered the blue to use for cutting and use the black for storage of the quartered tablets. Only problem is that the black was flawless, just cut and go. The blue one arrived with jagged manufacturing burrs left over that I had to smooth off. It also doesn't cut as well as the black one. The blue gives uneven cuts and leaves pill debris everywhere. So I'm back to the black for cutting and using the sucky blue one for whole pill storage. Not the best second buy I've ever made. 😅 8/16/2022: I always get black if my choice is black or blue. This black is VERY dark and not nearly as translucent as in the photo. That aside, this is a decent pill splitter. It's not magic, but I was able to quarter ten famotidine tablets fairly quickly and easily. It does a better job than my Apex, B000EGP5DC, which crushes rather than cuts. That one leaves a road of debris with every cut. This tray holds more than the Apex too which is very nice and I wasn't struggling to get a pill out from the several I dropped in. It's a better sized tray and a lower lip that offers easier access. Overall, I prefer this one to the Apex, B000EGP5DC, which really isn't a useful splitter at all.

I read the reviews and most were good so thought I'd try it to replace the piece of crap "deluxe" one I purchased. The first pill I halved was crushed in the middle because I tried to cut it in half. The next I pressed down with the intent to split the top only, not split it in half. Perfect, even halves and no crumbling! So much better than the so called deluxe one I bought at the pharmacy.
