Worked straight out of the box, my PC allocated it a serial port, and it just worked! good value, and used as a specialist cable for a specific serial application

Is NOT a TTL device
This transmits using +-6V so this is not a TTL level device. Works great though

Works perfectly. Get the right version for you.
Does exactly what it's supposed to. Note there are two versions... this is the "B" version, where the tip is Receive (RX) and the ring is Transmit (TX). There is also an "A" version where RX and TX are swapped. Check your equipment and get the right one for your application. Plugged into a Windows 10 system, no special drivers needed, came right up. FTDI chip.
