It's Like Anyone Can Be A Plumber!
So easy to use, even I can do it. I installed two new toilets in two remodeled bathrooms. In one, the new floor had been installed and the flange was slightly higher than the floor. No problem. The rubber Fluidmaster sealed completely. No leaks, no worry about adjusting the toilet position after it's placed, no mess. In the second bathroom the floor hasn't been installed yet. I wasn't going to put the second toilet in until the floor was installed. But the tank on the old toilet broke so I didn't have any choice. This flange was MUCH higher than the floor. I had to tighten the toilet down a little more than I felt comfortable doing but it doesn't seem to have hurt anything. Just like the first, no leaks, no problems. Even with the ultra-high flange. Just take the thin, pre-installed seal/spacer off the Fluidmaster rubber flange and it was good to go. And I won't have a wax ring to worry about when I remove this toilet to install the floor. These Fluidmaster rubber seals worked great and I highly recommend them.

Killer toilet seal kit!!!
My old wax ring was leaking badly. You know, you have to resolve to do an unpleasant job but at least do it the easiest way. Thats what the Fluidmaster kit is, the easiest, nicely made and I suspect most effective way to seal up your toilet watertight first time out of the starting gate. There's a BIG reason there's so many 5-star reviews!!! It's priced right and the design is way better than a one-shot unforgiving wax ring. So ordered the kit, removed my leaker toilet and its shot eroded wax ring cleaned everything and BANG... Installed wax free seal. Man like what a breeze, fast, simple and easy!!! totally easy to readjust if needed. Would I ever use wax again? not a chance! Thanks to Amazon fast service!!

Great product
I’ve never installed a wax ring but from what I’ve seen this is such a better option. I put new flooring in my bathroom and took up the toilet first. The wax ring was a mess. This was super simple to install and the toilet can move after installation without worrying about leaking. Months later and still no leaks.

Good Seal, But Instructions Could Be Clearer
I had three failed attempts with this Fluidmaster wax-free toilet seal, all resulting in leaks. It was frustrating until I figured out a better way to use it. Instead of following the typical method, I placed the blue seal onto the toilet first, as it fits snugly around the hole on the bottom. Then, I lifted the toilet onto the spacer and screws, and it fit perfectly. It was a smooth, aligned process, and you could actually feel the toilet moving into position. I think Fluidmaster should mention this in the instructions to avoid unnecessary frustration. Once I figured it out, it worked great. The product itself seems solid, and it’s a good alternative to the traditional wax seal. But, as with most things, "operator error" was the issue, and thinking outside the box saved me.

Working well but needs additional spacers
I needed to replace a Fernco waxless seal for reasons other than the seal itself and decided to try this seal, due to what I consider a serious flaw in the Fernco design. The adhesive used in that design flows when the temperature rises. When I replaced it in my upstairs toilet, I found that almost all of the adhesive had flowed out over time. The bathroom sees temperatures of up to mid-90F during the summer, which is apparently too hot for the adhesive. Another Fernco ring that I have in the downstair closet (temp never reaches more than 90F) has had most of the adhesive flowed to one side of the ring, just from sitting there. This waxless seal is a drop in replacement for a traditional wax ring, so it's simple to install. Also, unlike the Fernco, this one is easy to replace., if needed (for example, if you decide to re-do your bathroom flooring). The one problem I ran into is that, if your floor is slightly raised like mine, you may need to purchase two of these, because each kit only comes with a few spacers. Would it have killed them to include an additional 1/4" thick spacer? Otherwise, I find this seal to be far superior to the Fernco and to traditional wax rings. Since my bathroom floor is not even, I do not need to worry about rocking the toilet while shimming during installation (probably the reason the original wax seal failed years ago... due to rocking during original installation).

So much better than wax
I've had a to fix a few toilets in the house resulting in a few flange changes. All originally had wax. If you haven't set wax or cleaned one up, what a pain. Cleaning takes a while to get it right and when you get it you really need to push it down right and not move the toilet around much, which is hard to do when you are placing a 50lb toilet and trying to get screws through small holes. I've tried a flange that has glue on the part to the toilet and then fits tightly in the drain, but then centering the toilet causes issues as you could loosen the glue. Getting it out was difficult as well as it was a tight fit in the drain and I had to cut the rubber to get it to come out. This install was very easy. You can move the toilet after placing as there's no glue and its not a tight fit in the drain, just fits inside the drain a few inches - its all gravity at that point. One point I did not see anywhere and luckily did not apply; if your toilet drain is more than 1/4" below the surface of the floor, what the flange sits on, you need an additional spacer. This unit only comes with one and it will work for 1/4" below or 1/4" above the floor. Otherwise it may not sit tight on the toilet and cause leaks. I had a builder grade Mansfield toilet and it fit around the toilet opening fine.

Good product
Good design, good seal, if installed correctly. Pay attention to instructions on proper projection above floor. If the flange is well below the finished floor surface, there is a separate spacer provided to go under the seal. If flush to + 1/4", use just the seal with attached foam spacer. If the flange is + > 1/4", remove the foam spacer attached to the seal, and use just the seal on top of the flange. The advantage of this over wax is that you can reposition the toilet, as needed. With wax, you only have one shot to get it right. If you set the toilet down off-center with wax, you may have to pitch it and start over. If installing a toilet alone--especially with heavier one-piece toilets and/or in tight spaces, I use a small furniture dolly (from Harbor Freight) to move the toilet into exact position over the flange, then lift the toilet, kick the dolly out of the way, then set the toilet straight down on the flange bolts.

Good system if it fits your flange
Likes - flexible, toilet can be repositioned, removed, re-installed without harming seal. - forgiving if flange is a little high, or low, or out of level - toilet can wiggle a little and maintain seal Dislikes - FOR MY application, did not fit well. If you have a fairly new bldg with PVC drain and waste pipes, the size of these rings with foam seals will fit OK. My old house has cast iron waste pipes with flange outside. The diameter of flange is larger than this seal. I had to relieve the holes in the spacer ring so it would install on the toilet mounting bolts. The outside edge of the foam ring barely touches the inside edge of flange. In other words, this ring needs another half inch of outside diameter to mate with an old cast-iron flange. If the flexible seal is stretched over the mounting bolts, the result is an out-of-round egg-shaped opening that will be difficult to get the toilet to drop into. Universal is not always universal. Be aware that things described as "Universal" and "One Size Fits All" will often give trouble. - one more dislike. This works if flange is slightly above floor level, even with floor level, or slightly below floor level (1/4 inch or less.) If lower, you must buy 2 seals and put one flexible seal inside the other. This is explained inside the package. installation instructions, step 5C. If more than 1/2 inch down (a spectacularly bad rough-in, or new layers of flooring under toilet) you will need a flange extender to get solid mounting and seal. Plumber job? Summary - Seals are installed and working OK (did not stretch the flexible ones, just pushed them into the spacer where the toilet grabbed them when lowered into position.) I had to modify the mounting holes in spacer, too close, should be long like the toilet mounting holes. If it were a Universal item, would fit onto any flange, even old cast iron. The old-fashioned wax rings fit, they have more I.D., more O.D. The toilet fits OK on flange and bolts, the Universal seal should have mounting holes like the toilet - just grab a toilet for a template, Fluidmaster design team. And if 2 seals might be needed, say that on OUTSIDE of box, or at least in the Amazon description. Hate those extra trips to Lowes in middle of the project.

Not all fittings were included
It seems good product but unfortunately didn’t fit for my purposes because the black base ring wasn’t included.

I don't know how did it work but it just did
I purchased both the wax one and this "better than wax" one, and tried the wax one first. unfortunately the wax one didn't work as my floor was not even so when I set the toilet on, the toilet instantly crashed the wax ring. With some doubt, I tried this, it worked so well that made me wondering how did it work, but that's not important, I just hope it can last 10 years as advertised and save me all the troubles.

Cleaner and more secure than wax rings
It was an easy install after I replaced the bathroom floor. The floor was higher than the pipe so I used the enclosed spacer ring. It all went together easily and tightening the floor bolts compressed the spacer and made a tight seal. Works great, no leaks.
