MyLifeUNIT Protective Ironing Scorch Mesh Cloth

Great iron for a great price. Does a wonderful job, is easy to use, and is lightweight. Uses tap water in the instruction. I am very pleased with the purchase. I waited a bit to review to make sure how it was working.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Works good but not as good as a cloth one overall good product

On first impression it looked like it would tear easily, but it’s made well. It’s as described and I used it on my Lacoste shirts to avoid scorch at the buttons. I did only use on the silk temperature on my iron to avoid issues described in another post here. No burns and the garment remains soft.

I wanted to stop the shiny press marks on black clothes and to avoid scorch marks on my blouses. I didn't have high hopes for this, but it was inexpensive enough, so I gave it a try. Much to my surprise it worked out great. It is large enough for pants legs, more than big enough for the backs of my blouses, and translucent enough for me to see what I'm doing (like pleats). I have used it with high heat and steam with no problems. I took off one star because the cotton binding around the edge was very poorly sewn, but I didn't return it because it didn't effect the performance of it (the edges didn't fray or anything) and it just didn't seem to be worth the time it would take to send it back. It solved a problem - this product worked out well for me.

This “protective” scorch mesh cloth is a joke. My iron melted a hole in it the very first time I used it. Don’t waste your money and buy the Dritz Sheer silk organza press cloth instead – which is also offered on Amazon. It’s a great press cloth and can withstand the high heat and steam from your iron.

Is as pictured. Didn’t notice much of a difference between using it/not using it. I definitely prefer to use a handkerchief instead of this.

Wow, I never knew I needed this! My Mom had one, and she showed me how it protects your fabrics so I figured I'd give it a try. I wear a lot of black and other dark colors and love how this keeps the fabric from getting shiny. I'm sure there are other benefits too, but the shiny thing was the most important to me.

Works really well providing you use the correct heat settings -- then you have no scorch marks and a nice finish!

Pressing any garment is a precious and important stage, sometimes various heat and pressure needs to be adjusted in order to achieve the proper finish. This product ensures that none of your fabrics will be burnt, great tool to have as a designer.

Quality and size is perfect. Be careful about the heat.
