This would make a great gift so I ordered it for an autistic teenager who is also ADHD. After listening to some kalimba music on the Internet I fell in love with the sound and decided to keep it and learn to play it myself. This way I can show others how to use it. I'm a teacher and often work with kids with special needs. There are free kalimba music sheets and tabs on the Internet, but anyone can play this by simply plucking any tine to produce soothing melodious sounds. My husband who is a choir, band, orchestra teacher thinks it has the best sound of all the little music instruments he's come across. He didn't need to tune it. I took off one star because the E tine is dead. He didn't want to mess with it because it's short and is in tune, it just doesn't resonate like the others. The stainless steel tines combined with lacquered wood body gives it a beautiful classic look, that is ruined by cheap looking cheesy blue and red stickers. Black and gray would have been better. I like that it comes in a soft pouch and bag with shoulder straps. There's even a pocket for the accessories.

This Klimba is very nice. Made of painted solid wood. It's not a natural color of the wood . The sound is very good. It comes with other nice items like a bag and strap, a textbook, a direction hammer and more. The price is excellent, the sound is good. Suitable for children and adults. For beginners or advanced. If you are a beginner or want to add more Klimba to the collection, I recommend.
