The belts work! Transforms your basemodel worksharp into something useful. The course belts are as-good or better than the original belts. Seem a bit coarser - in a good way. Useful for shaping. Medium belts already make a better edge than what comes with the worksharp. Fine gets you a polished-looking edge that is capable of shaving arm hairs with some honing. I got my knives sharper with these belts than I've ever achieved by hand on a stone (and I might not be a master-sharpener, but I'm more than just competent). The belts are good quality and not too expensive. The basemodel worksharp ("combo" model) is slow and weak compared to the more expensive ones. With patience though, these belts let you achieve the same results.

These sanding grits did a way better job of sharpening my knives, over the 120 grit my sharpener came with I just do 3 passes each side and step down the grits then finish on the ceramic rod and strop and I get better then factory edge
