My cage is 26"L x 26"W x 61.5"H will this work for it? Or would I have to try the 68 inch one?

Yes I believe this will work for you. My cage is 24 x 22 and 58 inches from top to floor.(not including play top) there is plenty of extra wrap around and it covers to bottom of cage(not to floor). This works well for me because my cage has a metal “ skirt”. The magnets making putting it on and taking it off easy. My boys use it beachside of its simplicity. Good purchase.

I have the 61 inch cage which the cover 61 inch fits perfect and I love it. If you have a 57 inch cage the 61 inch cover will also fit your cage. Hope you like it.

Is this machine washable? Or is hand washing preferred?

Because it has magnets sew into it, I would recommend hand washing.
