This printer will do both thermal transfer and direct thermal.

Does this come with the LAN interface, and also the roller setup for the thermal transfer film?

This thermal printer has USB, Serial, and Parallel interfaces. It ships with an external rewinder and a media tray for cutter. Thanks!

No this item part number does not have the rewinder - the part number is I12-00-48000007 and description I-4212E, 4" 203 DPI, 12 IPS, THERMAL TRANSFER, SERIAL, PARALLEL, USB, RTC, 3"/1.5" MEDIA HUB, US PLUG The same printer with rewinder, (internal rewind for rewinding labels, not peel rewinder), is I12-00-48900007 description - I-4212E, 4" 203 DPI, 12 IPS, THERMAL TRANSFER, CAST PEEL AND PRESENT, INTERNAL REWINDER, SERIAL, PARALLEL, USB, RTC, 3"/1.5" MEDIA HUB, US PLUG. We have both printers in inventory. There is also a peel rewinder option. This peels the label and rewinds the liner, (take-up reel). If you need this option let us know.
