It is succinct and written by St. Louis de Montfort, who also wrote another beautiful book: True Devotion to Mary. You will find multiple reflections on each mystery that you can use to meditate while you say the Rosary as well.

I found my way back to religion in the recent times. My faith increased several fold after watching Eternal World Television Network EWTN. They do a fantastic job. I picked up the name of several books from there. The secret of Rosary by Saint Louis De Montfort in 1716 and the excellent translation by Arch Bishop Thomas E Molloy is a good read. Most religious books talk about religion in long laborious paragraphs. Not this. The book is crammed with short narratives - real life incidents in chapter after chapter. If you are a Catholic, this book is a must read. You will know why Rosaries are important - also how you should recite them for the best effect. I need to hand it to Amazon - Amazing. I am buying almost everything from them - from meat cleavers to books, from Deep Freezers to Microwave Ovens. There are many items available only in Amazon - this book is an example.
