Remote Sensing and Image Interpretation, 7th Edition is designed to be primarily used in two ways: as a textbook in the introductory courses in remote sensing and image interpretation, and as a reference for the burgeoning number of practitioners who use geospatial information and analysis in their work. Because of the wide range of academic and professional settings in which this book might be used, we have made the discussion “discipline neutral.” In short, anyone involved in geospatial data acquisition and analysis should find this book to be a valuable text and reference. Review: My RS book - This is a great book to purchase for GIS students. It's language is technical but easy to understand. I liked this course. Review: B+W images And Career - There are many comments about black and white images. The book does have color images in the center of the book. The authors probably decided to do all of the color images in the center of the book to bring the cost down. I'm currently a student using this book for a course and it is perfectly fine. The black and white images are the best way to describe the brightness of a pixel too and many tools that can be used on an image. There is a TON of information in this book and can be tedious to pick apart. I'm probably going to purchase this book as a reference for the future. Yeah, the information may not be up to date on the NEW NEW sensors but the majority of information out there is "older" Landsat data.

Great book reasonable cost
The book print quality is good. Amazon shipping leaves a lot to be desired. The book was shipped relatively loose in the box, and arrived with a creased corner that goes through the entire thickness of the book. Every page has the crease. I take care of my books, cost cutting measures that reduce the quality of the product, I would rather pay full price at your competitor than deal with crappy shipping practices.

Disappointing Lack of Compatibility
This title is not compatible with Kindle services and devices such as Assistive Reader text-to-speech, and Kindle Paperwhite. It's disappointing that a textbook sold through Kindle lacks such fundamental functionality, especially for users who rely on accessibility features or prefer reading on e-ink devices for comfort during long study sessions. While the book is accessible via the Kindle app on my phone or computer, those are the least comfortable options for extended reading or studying. Given the limited compatibility, I question whether this should even be marked as a Kindle book. I hope that Amazon and publishers take steps to better indicate these limitations before purchase, or better yet, ensure broader support for digital textbooks across all Kindle platforms.

Outdated, no colour figures, no online material...
The book is meant as an introduction to remote sensing and covers most important topics such as multispectral, hyperspectral and radar remote sensing. Concepts and principles are explained in a good way and most important systems are covered. The textbook, though dealing with colourful remote sensing has only black and white figures. The text refers to Plates (in color) that are not included in the book. At this price the overall low quality is not acceptable! Otherwise, the book gives a good overview on the topic, though a bit outdated at times. There are no digital resources as is state-of-the-art for rather technical topics like this. Just dull, plain black and white figures...

Pretty clear
This book was required for my class and I found it quite useful for other classes as well. Very informative and solid explanation of concepts!

Billige Verarbeitung
