Safety Sensor Eyes for 41A5034 Liftmaster Sears Chamberlain Craftsman Garage Door Opener (2 Kits)

Works perfect. I have a 1995 Craftsman 1/3hp opener. Simply changed the existing oem sensors with these. Easy install for my application as follows. Facing the garage door install yellow sensor on right side and green sensor on left. Connected/spliced wires in reverse as follows black to white. White to black. Original oem wires were connected black to black white to white

Thought this would be a quick replacement. However, as others have found these sensors do not work when connected as per manufacture instructions. After some quality time with my DMM it was apparent that the color coded wire was reversed. I will go with a manufacturing defect theory on this. Seems the storefront has a batch of these units to go through. Anyway reverse the polarity and they work as designed.

Easy to install

We bought a large pack when Liftmaster was backordered on photo sensors. I wish they worked. Customers always come in scoff at our price on a pair of LiftMaster photo sensors ($52.00) but I can guarantee they work. These, if anyone cares do not work! We have been able to get one out of six pairs to work, which is not good!!!! I'm going to give them away to the customers who think our price is too high on name brand Liftmaster photos. We are are garage door installation and service company that has been open sense 1998 and we do not recommend wasting money on these.

Supposed to be updated eyes for my liftmaster. Doesn't work though or at least haven't figured out how to yet.

I used these to replace the sensors for Chamberlain 1/2 hp. openers that were damaged by flood water. For all of you that read reviews, the manufacturer has corrected the issue of the black and white wires being reversed. Pair the whites and the blacks. I had to get out the ladder and switch the leads at the unit.

I liked the fact that the sensors came with everything I needed to wire them up and install them back in the existing bracket. Be sure to pay attention to + or - sign on wires so you can wire them up to the correct corresponding wire.

Installed Dec 2019 and was thrilled to finally replace the original sensor having intermittent clip/board connection. Then about a year later, the same thing happened with this new one, requiring me to constantly fiddle with the wire. It has increased to the point that it will no longer stay connected. Unrelated, I also learned that when both lights are on, poor aiming can still result in failure unless the alignment is improved.
